Looking at how the Abrams finally doesn’t become a vegetable by a fart, did they spread the M1A1 changes to every Abrams?
The T-80BVM’s spall liner together with Relikt ERA makes its armor almost impossible to penetrate.
Naturally, the T-80BVM will just one-shot you through the Abrams’ LFP afterward. Gaijin has no documentation on the Abrams’ lower glacis, so they assume it’s exactly the same as it was back in the 1970s.

Didn’t you know that all top-tier Soviet MBTs have spall liners? They’re not visible in the hangar, but they’re definitely there. Otherwise, how do you explain the lack of spall after a shell penetrates the armor?

It’s not that the t80bvm has a spall liner, it has its autoloader modelled as having a 6mm sheet of metal around it that eats spall and doesn’t create any hence giving the appearance of acting like a spall liner. It should really be modelled as creating spall but doesn’t as that would make the survivability of the vehicle quite a lot worse. It’s similar to the bmpts turret basket that they’ve modelled as being a floating piece of armor between the turret and turret floor.
Hitting autoloader =/= hitting ammo. Aim for commander side as the rack fills up first from there. Or dont hit fuel tanks, they are a black hole on all tanks.
I have many nations, including Russia, and I can tell you that the best tank in the game, the BMPT, is still at tier 11.7. The best helicopter, the Mi-28, is in Russia, the best CAS is in Russia, you can expect an update from Gaijin removing all cannons from NATO vehicles just for “balance”.
