There are couple of means to do it, see if the friend group are in the same squadron and the stats of such squadrons. I’m sure the bright minds of Gaijin can come up with something.
Otherwise you would need to artifically limit “elite squadrons” from certain BRs, which isnt practical and hyper specificl.
Like Premier League Football teams always playing against other professional teams and not 11 random dudes from the ranks? But thats what esports is for. On the other hand thats some football i would actually watch.
I don’t know what anything you said has to do with the game’s competitive scene, but don’t you think that if people see themselves losing against squads, it wouldn’t motivate them to play with friends in squads to challenge them?
The main problem isn’t idiotic teams but rather the language barrier. Gaijin hasn’t really done anything to “fix” it. Which wouldn’t be hard, as all it takes is an in-game translator to solve the issue. Another problem is the game’s sheer size, while they have made efforts to keep it low. With the options, that still doesn’t exactly solve the full extent of the issue; it’s an adhesive bandage at best.
I’m sorry that me playing with my friend is inconvenient for you.
The fact we can play Co-op is probably the only reason we are still playing.
Also nobody forces random players to not cooperate with each other, you don’t need to be in a squad to see an ally take a hit and push the enemy before they reload or to look at the map, see where your team is pinned down and flank or to see the stock SPAA disabled in the spawn unable to repair while planes farm you and actually help repair them so they can fight the planes off instead of just driving past them complaining when you get CASed.
EDIT: I’m also sorry to who ever found the fact that not helping your team is a choice offensive and flagged the post.
eh, no?
CSGO has insufficient balancer that makes you play with randoms against ful 5-men squad. Same goes for any other shooter. War Thunder at leat tries to make your team squads be adequate amount with other team squads.
Regular Tiger’s thread answer : No,… you’ve only thought of what you want without any true reasonning about what the game would become
Uncaring : get friends and play with them
Gaijin Esport side: Esport is only a feature for Gaijin,… it was intended as a publicity event, it is not developped and never will be more developped than todays,… comparing it to CS:GO / LoL or even Valorant is a way of disrespecting the games doing a true job to get an esport scene internationnaly
it can’t be a competitive esport scene until they create tournaments with only 1 aircraft / tank for everyone to be played (instead of the current selection)
Developped one: No, because it’s parts of core mechanics and teamplay of the game,…
Squads already have rules todays, so that Squads are given to both teams when they exists in sufficient numbers to do so.
the way players fights in this game is their own choices,… nothing could be changed about it,…
Squads or Not - i see squads doing bombing, or hunting or a mix of the two,…
Objectives are the same for everyone
it’s not different than randoms - no reasons to seperate them from normal matches (also seperating them will only create queues/MM issues)
