No.
“Life isn’t fair, there shouldn’t be balancing against squadrons”
Actually, I say we go further and remove the BR system altogether since life isn’t fair.
Not all squads are “competitive sweats in OP vehicles”.
The vast majority of squads are just friends and community acquaintances having some casual fun together.
Do you really want to ruin the fun of thousands of casual players over the remote possibility of coming across the ocassional squad of overly competitive sweats?
And you get them a reasonable amount of times throughout most BRs.
This topic is irrelevant to such goal.
Intention vs reality. They have the intention to clearly define an esports scene, even if it is “dead”.
If WT is a casual game, then this strengthens my point even more.
If you go that route than you would also have to balance players with skill based matchmaking, and also remove uptiers. Some people also play better in warm or colder enviroments so you would also monitor the weather in the player’s enviroment and their heating and match players according to that.
If this is such a problem, why does everyone complain about idiotic teammates? I have never seen a team with more than a few good players, and there aren’t many player of the same squadron filling up teams anyway
So you want to forbid me from playing casually together with my friends?
Because that’s what you are suggesting here.
These threads are starting to feel like cheap flaming bait.
Not sure what you mean…
Has nothing to do with what I myself meet on the battlefield.
It’s the team-play aspect. Squads have an inherent advantage of communication and co-operation in the battle.
“deal with it” is such a weak response.
Not everything is absolute. Your argument against my post is that “life isn’t fair”, so I pushed further down your point.
Nah, it’s just a response that people with skill issues usually don’t like hearing.
You are like am ostrich with it’s head in the sand…
Sure bud. More weak sauce.
Nah, I’m better than most players and its usually just a ragebait response, which suffice to say, just makes the person look terrible.
These mecahnics cause whole BRs in modes to become crapshows.
But if you read my main post, I’ve said that squadrons should be differed between “elite” and casual “squadrons” that are just there to grind vheicles.
You’re correct. If most players are bad, then it actually backs my point up that there shouldn’t be elite squadrons that overwhemlingly dictate the outcome of a match.
Nope. It’s just reality vs reality. WT’s competitive scene has been fairly static for quite some time, and you can check how real that is by looking at the exact same teams fighting Air, Ground and Combined Arms tournaments back to back, year after year.
That isn’t exactly a thriving scene.
Repeat with me, kids: Giving drops to artificially boost the tournaments views isn’t an enough of an effort to “define” an eSports scene as you say. Ask anyone here to name five teams without googling or asking to an AI, no one will give you more than two. Most of people farm the rewards with the stream window muted or doing something else than actually watching the competitive scene.
WT is a casual game ICYMI. A simcade, casualized game. And if anything, makes your point effortless.
I mean yeah sometimes I use it to bait people, but not this time.
it’s a stupid discussion to begin with, so I’m not putting more effort in than is worth it, especially when the player in general will just move onto the next external factor to complain about instead of looking at the true issue.
- Squads are unfair!
- Uptiers are unfair!
- Facing people that have better PCs than me is unfair!
- Facing different nations than my own is unfair!
- Having to face other players in general is unfair!
…etc
And how may that be done? Which sort of system determines whether I’m just trying to have fun with my friend or we are some competitive sweats trying to inflate our stats?
