t-90m is useless. you will quickly notice that only players who are extremely dogwater at the game will say t-90m is good lol
Useless or not there is very big problems with the way Russia is treated, or are we saying that the community are mostly dummies who can’t play and it just so happens that Russia in “top nations to play/grind” usually takes first place? People are playing and a big portion is complaining, I’m not saying nerf is due, i’m saying buff is due, but to NATO. I wouldn’t’ve cared or even went to forums is Merkava wasn’t so dang badly protected against cold war era tanks. I dare you to say that Russia suffers.
Mate, what?
Are you implying that the Ariete IRL has equivalent or superior armour to the T-90M? Really?
The T-90M should sit at 12.3, Gaijin is artificially keeping it’s BR high for unknown reasons, despite it being the (shared) worst MBT across 12.7.
Yet you’ve not noticed that nearly every NATO tank has a artificially quick reload speed?

Strawman #2.
Explaining that frontal armour isn’t as relevant as you think it is =/= Claiming there are no MBT’s with incorrect frontal armour.
Russia needs it, because on the whole Russian MBT’s are trash in every other category. It’s a balancing factor where the pros (armour) are off-set by the cons (mobility, gun depression, reload, etc.).
- Reload? Trash.
- Reverse speed? Trash.
- Acceleration? Trash.
- Neutral steering? None.
- Gun depression? Trash.
- Vertical traverse? Trash.
- Survivability? Trash.
Yes?
I can’t say anything in regards to the accuracy of the Ariete’s armour as it’s not a topic I’ve researched, but I don’t see a problem with it’s current itteration at 11.7.
It’s got great gun handling characteristics and fantastic firepower coupled with decent mobility, that’s enough to make it work at the BR it’s at.
1 12.7 vs full lineups.
I have not said that Ariette is better than T90, don’t know where this came from. I have claimed that it is better that it is currently represented and for a fact i know that it must have better electronics thanks to open trade and NATO tech sharing compared to sanctions and copying and “replacement of imported good”.
I think there was already a discussion about this where it showed that good(Ace in game) Abrams loaded loads ever 2,8 or something seconds, plus France is pretty much the only NATO nation with autoloaded which doesn’t need expensive crew skills, every Russian top tier has autoloader. No need for spending money for that advantage.
Ok, we still need frontal armor modeled.
Ok. We balancing for the sake of game balance, this thread started with Gaijin dev showing everything to prove that Abrams’s armor isn’t as good instead of just saying “we decided not to because it’ll ruin the balance”, so we be balancing NATO for realism.
So why can’t Russia’s current top tier be stripped of it’s artificial balancing and placed at much lower BR? Is it CAS? Then why are we adding non existent missiles. Or make it like Italy/Greece for Israel and add top tier Leo from some small nation as subtree and call it a day, works for NATO. Why all this bother with balancing T-series.
You want T-series to be competitive and is okay with the rest of the nations taking an L, why can’t Russia sit in the gutter while all others have fun? Why we must sacrifice for the sake of one nation? I want to play Merkava, i want it to be competitive, i need armor, more rotation speed and i need LAHAT from cannon. Also that BMPT is bothering me a lot, it’s difficult, i need Israeli only door for my M338 in it’s front hull.
Russia also only has 1x 12.7 MBT if we’re being honest, the T-80BVM is the only MBT they’ve got that comes anywhere close to stuff like the SEP v2 Trophy, SEP v3, 2A7V, 2A7HU, 122A, 122B+, Type 10, etc.
Meanwhile, USA has 6x MBT’s which could all be 12.7.
You literally just said: ‘‘Why can’t the Ariete have the best armour for balancing’’.
So tell me, what changes does the in-game Ariete need to represent these ‘‘Better electronics’’?
‘‘For that advantage’’

You mean the advantage of having a slower reload than the vast majority of opponents?
Ah yes, and I’m a married to Scarlett Johansson.
- The M1 Abrams on average achieves a reload in roughly 5.4 seconds according to primary sources.
- The M1A1 and onwards reload slightly slower, the fastest I’ve ever seen anyone link is around 6.2 seconds, the vast majority are around 7-10 seconds. Most available sources indicate 8rds/min, or 7.5 seconds.
- Manufacturer data regarding the Leclerc states 10 rds/min, or 6.0 seconds.
- Leopard 2A1 tank manual states 7-8 rds/min, or 8.6 to 7.5 seconds depending on the tank manual version.
- Challenger 2 sources state 8 rds/min or 7.5 seconds.
- Challenger 1 is stated to achieve 6 rds/min or 10 seconds.
So, to compare the actual rate of fire to the in-game rate of fire:
Leclerc: 6.0s > 5.0s
M1A1/2: 7.5s > 5.3s
M1: 5.4s > 5.3s
Challenger 1: 10.0s > 5.3/7.1s
Challenger 2: 7.5s > 5.3/7.1s
Leopard 2: 7.5/8.6s > 6.4s
That’s fine, but I’m 100% sure people will complain about a T-90M sitting at 12.0.
Ah yes, other nations are taking the ‘L’.
I’m certainly feeling that ‘L’ as I’m sitting on a 5.6 - 1 K/D ratio in my M1A2 Trophy and 5.2 - 1 K/D ratio in my SEP v3 by stomping Russian MBT’s all day.
/s
And here we see the true agenda. You just want Russia to be terrible and for your favourite nation to be dominant. You don’t care about balance whenever it doesn’t suit your agenda.
That ends the discussion.
what is this supposed to mean? SEPv3 is very much my wife, it’s just our honeymoon is over.
If we ignore the rest of the 12.7s and the 12.3 that has a APS system. Yk what basically no NATO tank at the BR has.
Standards for qualification has changed its now 10 rpm but typically loaders get to 5 seconds between rounds with amazing ones at the 4.5 ish mark
Bro. T series get hit and can still turn and fire. 90% the time the brams loses its ring, basket, hydro, bla blah blah.
Until t series cant just turn the turret and fire, w key players will be rewarded by picking suboptimal rush tactics since they can return fire more often than any other mbt.
I don’t, I’m Russian and a patriot, and unlike what many interpret this to mean it isn’t “we’re the greatest and have no problems”. So unless you want to say that i’m self-hating Russian or a ““traitor””, this argument really doesn’t hold up. My agenda is game being fun to play.
Our vehicles are not the best in the world and are really outdated, combined with inability to learn from our history we’ve once again ostracized ourselves from the rest of the world and their vastly more advanced technology. I do like Merkava, and to deny my bias is dishonest, but the same can be said about you no? You want Russian stuff to do good or at least play nice. But i doubt adding armor will make Merkava superior, it’ll still be worse than Abrams but it’ll have reverse gearbox, plus modeling them 80 tons will probably do wonders.
Might be a language issue but i’ve stated the balancing policy. Why armor can’t be buffed even. The term “buffed” indeed doesn’t specify the amount but best in the game was not my initial intention, i was thinking closer to German standards but definitely not better. But from the way the question is worded you do imply that Russia has indeed the best armor in game and it’s not realistic.
It was more of IRL thing, currently in game even though electronics are modeled they just be doing fire control system but there’s things like Iron Vision on Merkava’s which i don’t know how’d be modeled if ever.
You don’t need to spend anything, makes it cheaper. The advantage i mentioned is cash.
I feel like official K/D ratios and player base statistics are compromised, maybe it’s the region i’m not feeling it, but considering that i’m not the only one complaining the problem is at large. T’s(and BMPT) are tough, they’re annoying and not fun to play against. Also that doesn’t explain their CAS bias with them HARM being twice as fast and KH/Lmur/IRCS blah blah blah.
Again, my problem is special treatment, not that it’s them Russians. If it was anyone other i would’ve said the same. Russia is artificially brought up but everything else is brought down, Chinese be complaining about their MBT being so low and they get Taiwanese Abrams, well at least it’s not Leo.
I played a few matches after TR was added to Merkava, i went nah, and quit for a month. It was already a repair sim, now it’s just plainly unfun.
This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.
I’m saying it’s not a 12.3 go compare other 12.3s
I literally work with tankers lmao but also it’s just something you can find online from things like bundeswehr interviews live fire events that sort. Ofc if your asking for a official manual that doesn’t exist.
Nah dude y’all need to stop with the massive dishonesty here.
You guys make all sorts of quips about how hard it is to do a t series when you are the same players smashing your w key right into a lower front plate shot. But that front angle more than half the time means your auto loader eats it and you return fire and either cripple or kill. Cripple for western means waiting to find out who repairs faster or when the next t series rushes on the w key high to finish you off.
You guys are out rageous in this and it’s a joke. Yeah who gives a rip if y’all get a one tap half the time? The other half is you returning fire for a free assist or kill while western mbts get the same survival odds but CANT return fire.
So you need to quit acting like an intellectual authority when you and every other t series fan won’t own your basket is a MASSIVE advantage.
Also again, get back on topic. Go make a thread about since you can’t stay on topic.
Oh also the darn ERA. Gaijin went “Hey look those anti ERA dart you’ve been asking for!” and proceeded to buff Relikt, awl for soap. For one, only US gets those while M338/others still lack such capability despite being written in open source manual. And two, it only works on Kontakt-5, which, at the BR that the Abrams sits, doesn’t matter at all. Also the Turret ring suspiciously didn’t had enough time to be modeled on Russian tank. For Merkava, which is now not just repair sim but full on experience not even mentioning lack of changes for over 3 years, they had time but not for their favorite son.
And here we have the two most cliche answers in a single post:
‘‘Trust me bro, I know someone that…’’ and ‘‘Just google it bro’’
I think you’ll understand that I’m gonna go ahead and go with what the actual Leopard 2A6 and Leopard 2A1NL tank manuals state, as well as footage of reloads being conducted during training over what some person on the internet claims (without any evidence to support their side of the story).
I still don’t know what you’re trying to say here.
Please take a bit of time to properly type out what your argument actually is, so that I can respond to it in a meaningful manner.
‘‘Half the time’’ ?
That just sounds like bad aim on your end to me.
Here’s one of my most recent matches in the SEP v3. Got 10 kills in this match, of which 9 were one-hit-kills.
That logically means there was one tank that required 2 shots to kill, coincidentally, there was also one single kill that belonged to a non-Russian tank.
Now you take a guess whether that one tank that required 2 shots was Russian or not.
Spoilers:
I’ve got 4400 kills across 7 different variants of the M1 Abrams, and have played it ever since it’s first release.
You could basically call me a Abrams main.
So this comment is particularly funny.
Isn’t public knowledge. Can’t be used and you understand the needs of a tank and it’s firepower change alot in 40 years. The reload needs aren’t the same of the early 80s lmao
Literally what I said lmaoooo
