According to this report M1A1 / IPM1 - Turret Frontal Armour Incorrect // Gaijin.net // Issues, the turret armor was correct. Instead of nerfing the armor on both the turret and the hull, they should have nerfed only the hull armor.

They keep hiding behind the duplicate tag of a 3 year old report and not fixing this, Community Bug Reporting System

If they just made it correct the SEPv3 hull would actually be decent

When will it end??!??

You see, we are very well aware that they are 25mm thick… but if we made them 25mm thick, it would be THEORICALLY possible that SEPv3’s hull could MAYBE take SOME shells on the fuel tank areas and this is unacceptable. That’s also why we don’t add all of the missing frontal, top and external side plates of the bulkheads either."

Even with the currently underperforming 450-ish mm KE, if the fuel tank bulkheads were corrected, it could reach about its proper 560mm KE on the fuel tank bulkhead areas… so at least SEPv3’s hull COULD SOMETIMES feel a bit strudier.

Ah but you see then it might stop stock shells! So they simply had to nerf them and add better stock shells to several nations so that the armor would be even less useful. Crazy that that’s what it took for ofl 120 f2 to be added as well.

These “Submitted as a suggestion” replies on clear errors infuriates me, this is not a ‘give tank x or y shell and add-on’ it’s a bloody error in the model, how is it a “suggestion”??

Just… why? (Not to mention the missing top, bottom, front and side bulkheads).

Yeah what everyone is wondering as well.

Have any news regarding the ARAT 1 and 2 being nerfed against tandem warheads and conventional ones, maybe heatfs too?

Can’t find anything regarding it’s irl specifications to bug report it…

I noticed that the onesies in game are rha, while the ones in the document are steel. Does anyone know the conversion from rha to steel? (Eg. If it is structural steel does 9mm = 25mm rha?)

Structural steel is the lowest grade in game for metal.

Sorry I meant does 9mm of rha = 25 mm of steel

Just looked it up and RHA is made out of steel, so I wonder if the bulkheads are structural steel or RHA steel although I would imagine that it is rha

RHA is a grade of steel just like structural. 25mm of structural steel is significantly weaker than 25mm of RHA

Yeah so I was wondering if 9mm rha is equivalent of 25 mm structural steel

RHA = 1.0 modifier. Structural steel is a 0.45 modifier making it more than 2x weaker.

Like maybe they just modeled the bulkheads with the equivalent in rha instead of the thickness in structural steel IF the bulkhead was made of structural steel but I don’t know if it is or not

25x.45=11.45 so I guess this is not the case. Thanks for clarifying

They really are just screwing everything up

It is probably labeled under one of the many aluminum values that range from 0.38 to 0.50.
