Regarding the Hull Armor of the M1A2 SEP V3

Can I ask where you find the modifiers?

Thanks. Have a good day

There is ample proof that this game was made solely for fans of the USSR, while everyone else serves merely as targets.

Conveniently ignoring that more and more people are posting about their high winrates in vehicles like the SEPv3 lol.

Top tier russian ground vehicles are currently getting smacked around by top tier US ground vehicles.

What kind of strikes? The US received nothing in this update except for anti-radiation missiles. As for ground forces, the US didn’t get anything new. The only exception is the Abrams with Trophy, but the Kh-38MT has not been a threat for a long time anyway. So it’s too late.

Just found a us version of the kh38 that we need added. The jagm f is a varient of the missle found on the ah64e that is adopted for aircraft

Also according to sources, the f15e can carry 20 (cue evil laugh of Russian demise)

What did the USA get in this update?

Two useless Abrams with no armor. One useless slow M829A3 that only penetrates a whole 5 mm more, while being 100 m/s slower, meaning you’ll miss more often.

What did the USSR get? A 50% angled buff to Relikt armor.

The strongest 3BM42-2, which for some mysterious reason can penetrate 100 mm more than its predecessor, while also having an impressive velocity of 1750 m/s and penetration comparable to the 3BM60. Now the T-90M and BVM will be shooting like with a laser.

Conveniently ignoring the soon to be on all models volumetric armor and internal damage model changes which increase first shot survivability and resistance to autocannons

Conveniently ignoring one of the two “useless Abrams” being added is much safer against CAS and ATGM’s, and the other has much stronger all round turret protection (not just on the on front, SEPv3 sides got changed too.) as well as just being in general more spawns of one of the best MBT’s in the game.

Conveniently ignoring M829A2 becoming the new stock shell on 12.7 Abrams’, which is now the best stock shell ingame, along with being one of the best shells in the game in general.

Conveniently ignoring how M829A3 actually works ingame

Conveniently ignoring that the Relict buff was a nothingburger in 99.9% of situations

The mysterious reason 3BM42-2 is 100mm better, is that 3BM42-2 is the Mango base with a Lekalo (3BM44M) type penetrator. it’s built to be a drop-in upgrade for tanks that already use 3BM42, penetrator swaps on rounds to increase performance is nothing new in tank development.

Yes bro, the laser 3bm42-2 that cant pen through lfp fuel tanks, super huge.

Nooo. The worst. Do you know who has the best round? The USSR, because its shell can penetrate Abrams tanks in silhouette.

And it’s not even about the shell. Gaijin made the Abrams’ armor so thin that it doesn’t matter what kind of round it is with 400–500 mm of penetration — it will still penetrate it in 80% of the tank’s areas.

You’ve just posted a video of the shell penning a weak spot. Congratulations, maybe even a “well done” and a round of applause is in order. As for the UFP, when level it’s not going to pen, when from above, it’s a 38mm plate, what do you expect? This video still doesn’t show how the 3BM60 is better than the M829A3 and the best stock shell in game, M829A2

That’s a suspiciously edited looking harsh line for the armor highlighter.

Especially when with a similar angle it doesn’t appear that green for me.

(I’m not even going to mention how this is a completely useless angle that isn’t at a realistic LOS but i just did.)

Crazy how if you ACTUALLY use the Armor Analysis tool properly it matches realistic conditions, quite shocking.

The issue is that American shells cannot penetrate Relikt ERA. That’s the whole problem. Because of that, top-tier Soviet MBTs have better protection against Western ammunition. So the only hope is the M829A4, which Gaijin isn’t giving. Instead, they gave the USSR the 3BM42-2 shell, which didn’t even pass testing and was never fielded. Just another “expo” shell.

If you were to actually use protection analysis properly, you’d see that the UFP is not getting penned on level ground.

And if you actually played the game you’d know that the LFP is one of the least consistent (large) weakspots in game due to the 2 fuel tanks, the steel bulkheads that can just eat an entire shell and just overall huge small RNG.

Also, either you’ve got some insane postFX setup or you actually had to photoshop that image to continue pushing your point

Now try the same thing at a distance of 2000 m. And you will see how the round already penetrates the Abrams’ upper glacis plate (UFP) anywhere.

Why should they be able to penetrate Relikt? They’re already the best MBTs and aiming is sufficient since there isn’t a way that a T-90M can be invulnerable
