Removing weight does infact make you speed up faster
yeah something strange is going on the M1a1 has more hull armor than the M1a2SEP and they gave the sep v3 like 10 mm more armor than the M1A1 at that point why would they even say they are gonna add more armor,
welp for its BR the M1A1 is now they best Abrams in the game since it seems to have gotten better turret armor as well making it pretty resistant to shell at its br

They thought this is “good enough” for it to go live, which is pretty funny.
I bet we’ll have a trillion of bug fixes and smaller updates over the next week or so, with our live servers basically acting as a dev one because they’re scared to postpone the update.

Yep, they half cooked the volumetric on the v3 and trophy because they were the new ones and call it the day

honestly didn’t think there was a way for me to dislike this update more and i had the low hopes of no hull armour increase.
Yeah the m1a1 seems the one that they only worked on
They also added volumetric to M1A1 which is weird.
M1A1 also received better side skirts.
Looks like M1A1 was the test bed for changes and they had no time to update every M1.
i have 1 cope and its that the M1A1 is there new base calculation for the Armor and they just forgot to Update it on the other tanks since others still have the old internal modules, so we *mite see a real increase later
yeah the confusing thing is though the hull is identical on all of them model wise so whjy not just copypaste to all rather than just the new 2

More than likely, they screwed up and forgot to apply it to the whole series, thus decided to add them in with the rest of the bug fixes that will come up later with this update. It’s lazy, but I don’t expect them to drop a minor patch just for the abrams series, hours after they just released a major update.
So as suspected, rushed to the maximum.
I guess those armor changes will include buffed side skirts as well.
@_Renzo sorry for ping but can you check how effective new side skirts are against autocannons from certain angles ?

an abrams bug fix, no way it will take a sensible amount of time as you suggest instead it will be put on hold for 3 years
I’ve been watching the Abrams forum posts since they added the XM-1. The only thing surpassing it for length of time to fix things is the people still wanting the Stug IV added

It’s between 80-100mm directly side on against the BMPTs 30mm APDS and about 130-150mm vs Puma APFSDS at an angle. Still considerably weaker than the M1A1s new side skirt.
