But Australia didn’t receive SEPv3 with DU, right? So the weight must be different too, isn’t it?

it should, but im not Abram expert so i cant confirm lol

Congratulations to Gajin for making the right decision, and congratulations to the community for its perseverance.

I’d prefer to see a proposal for changes, but I understand that this need some time.
I trust the developers will do it right.

I hope the upgrade won’t be “balanced” with additional internal modules that aren’t present in competitors.

You didn’t notice several new internal modules on the Abrams? (Satire)

No, sadly they are not DU package - there was never any Kinetic threat in Australia.
Aussies were always asking for anti kangaroo reactive package
Those fuckers were no joke.

I love how the crowds jump in mass to make of fun of US players but then when gaijin gives us a yap sesh abt the abrams the first thing they do is talk abt the chally or leo. Truly idiotic.

Well… there’s that, but there’s also;

This reads like it will go from 355mm KE to <500mm KE (if even) and it’s kinda concerning.

Yep.

They’re going to the absolute bare minimum they can do ignoring every other weight change, and hope the volumetric does the rest.

Smoke and mirrors.

The bug reporting managers statement on this report “All the extra weight went into the turret.” directly contradicts this post.

Hello, in regards to SEPv3, may we know to which KE value is it planned to improve, where the other Abrams tanks offer 355mm KE?

Upon reading the article, it is a general concern that there may be no true KE protection upgrade.

It feels like it is not being taken into account that there’s been armor technology improvements in the last 50 years. A module of armor doesn’t need to be significantly, visibly thicker or heavier to provide enhanced protection when it uses a technology decades more advanced than the very first iteration of it.

Can’t shoot if they already hopped on → open the hatch and punch the crew members multiple times.
