Looking at the combat weight data compiled for various Abrams variants and the weight of their turrets, the estimated change in hull weight is roughly 500 kilograms. Within the fixed finite dimensions of the hull front and working with such a limited weight budget, it is impossible to achieve a tangible increase in protection to a degree where modern kinetic weapons would be negated.
This completely ignore the removal of the hydraulic systems and a load of copper wiring weight.
The entire devblog also assumes the external appearance must change ignoring armour inserts wouldn’t show etc.
It’s another misleading dev blog full of half truths.

They’re ignoring the hydraulic system removal and the changing of the wire from copper to fibre optic, both of which give significant weight savings.

and then maybe L26A1 (L11), JM33, DM33 (L/44) at a mid/long range and a slight angle
but yeah, its not going to change anything for the mostpart, all rounds are obsolete by top tier standards

Can someone explain to me, why M1A2 SEPv2 without ARAT weights 63 tons (66.5 on dev I believe), while M1A2T with exact same armor and equipment weights only 62 tones? Like, where did that extra 1 ton (or 4.5 tons if we compare it to dev version) went if armor is still the same?

Just going to point out they will do forensic level investigations to not add additional protection to the Abrams, but they’re quite happy to just invent a missile and seeker head for the Russians.
