Literally the second and fourth most played tanks in the game
Also this is at 12.3
You can’t read apparently
I’m going to put @Necrons31467 bug report regarding the SepV3 here:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/74DhWzB6LYhu
In Necrons own words:
“Proposed change: During the late '80s an improved hull armor package was developed but ultimately not adopted on the 1992 M1A2 Abrams (second excerpt attached, source: Ballisticians in War and Peace. A History of the United States Army Ballistic Research Laboratory).
This package provided an additional 35% protection against KE threats. I would suggest a similar change for the SEP v3, this would increase the current protection of ≈378mm to ≈510mm to represent this improvement.”
we can pray, but its probably gonna be like a 50mm improvment at most knowing gaijin lmao
I think that would be a good change overall, essentially means it’s protected against 3BM42 and DM33 but still is reliably vulnerable to everyone’s top rounds. Doesn’t dramatically affect the playstyle but makes it noticeably stronger than the base Sep.
Labels: “Not enough info”. They’re an insufferable clowns are they? How in the world can someone be so detached from their own community. They must’ve be paid, surely.
Unfortunatly, we’re working with Gaijin here so, unless we can provide them Russian sources which they seem to take without a second thought.
This 35% improvement would be the best we can get for the SepV3.
Keep in mind that this is a game, and Gaijin won’t be able to reflect a lot of changes that are classified or have very little sources with “non vague” information (although we know they have classified documents)
The problem with that is that there is no free press in Russia and all the news articles that were made before ban(There was a ban issued on compromising country and foreign agents) on problems with Russian equipment were erased, they’re probably somewhere on internet archive but it’s very difficult to find. In Russia the nail that sticks out gets hammered down.
Actually they reject a lot of Russian sources when it doesn’t go their way.
Honestly, I’m fine with the M1s as they play, I’ve actually had a pretty good run with the HC lately, but if they’re gonna add the V3 it really should have some capability upgrade over the base SEP. Heck I’d be happy if they’d just remodel the SEP 2 so it has its composite side skirts and a clean turret when you take the TUSK kit off. Overall though I’d rather have the 5 second reload over the extra hull armor if I had to choose.
Lmao, so it’s insecurity then. Well, it’s pointless anyway, it’s not like the community is gonna rebel by stop buying anything from them altogether, we are too ununited for that, and even if they’ll probably wait it out anyway.
Honestly giving it ~500mm vs KE on the LFP would be a decent compromise if it were to keep the 5 second reload purely looking at balance.
It would stop most lower tier darts (3BM42, DM33, 1985-I) and some of the low end 11.3-12.3 ones (3BM46, BTA4, M900) at longer range, but it would massively help since iirc spalling is based on residual penetration or something. So the more armored LFP would help with that.
By ‘no free press’ you meant something meaningful, or are you one of those who read one article and think they are a genius? All articles before the mythical ban are still there; there is no ban on talking or writing something bad about Russian equipment. I know it’s normal living in delusions, but try to use real arguments

Why would they need to modify the hull for an M1 to M1A2 conversion, when it’s been the same hull for over 40 years? Are they stupid?
And the Israeli top tier tanks, the Merkava, Namer’s and the Eitan
The worst part is that Merkavas had good armor for one glorious moment before gaijin went “nah” and nerfed it again, so they know it’s bad and intentionally chose to ignore it.
So, if gaijin uses classified information to model a vehicle, yet they get it wrong, how are we supposed to do anything about it? Shouldn’t it be all based on public available information so that nobody gets jail time?

Selectivism. Feels like insecurity or denial. Just odd all around from psychological and social standpoint. Like… why? They have publicly denied being sponsored, so why would they act in such way?
Corruption and lowly morals would like to have a word with you.
