Regarding the Hull Armor of the M1A2 SEP V3

By ‘no free press’ you meant something meaningful, or are you one of those who read one article and think they are a genius? All articles before the mythical ban are still there; there is no ban on talking or writing something bad about Russian equipment. I know it’s normal living in delusions, but try to use real arguments

Why would they need to modify the hull for an M1 to M1A2 conversion, when it’s been the same hull for over 40 years? Are they stupid?

And the Israeli top tier tanks, the Merkava, Namer’s and the Eitan

The worst part is that Merkavas had good armor for one glorious moment before gaijin went “nah” and nerfed it again, so they know it’s bad and intentionally chose to ignore it.

So, if gaijin uses classified information to model a vehicle, yet they get it wrong, how are we supposed to do anything about it? Shouldn’t it be all based on public available information so that nobody gets jail time?

Selectivism. Feels like insecurity or denial. Just odd all around from psychological and social standpoint. Like… why? They have publicly denied being sponsored, so why would they act in such way?

Could they have possibly… lied? Heretical thought, I know.

hilarious how Gaijin ignores technological leaps in armor/weight for the Abrams family, and believes only T-Series tanks have made advancements in armor/weight effectiveness and efficiency.

I’ve seen countless sources claiming the Abrams has had weight reductions in places like electronics, increased armor while reducing the weight, etc.

I guess they’re waiting to release the end-of-line Abrams as a Premium, botch it, reluctantly give it correct characteristics after pre-order sales don’t sell…just like they did with the F-14D, and I’m sure has happened to other vehicles for other nations too.

My latest information was that they calculated the improved mine protection as additional weight while in reality it got 30% lighter instead while offering this better protection…
Regarding electronics there seems to be quite a little confusion as to my knowledge the copper-to-fiber conversion was/is meant for the projected M1A3 and I don’t know if it was integrated into the SEPv3 already.

correct me if im wrong, but doesnt it say “sep v3” on the left side?

Sounds like a marketing lie to me…

In gaijin’s infinite wisdom in Merkava’s upgrade program the tank gained 20 tons not in armor improvements or additional protection but through APS system solely. I don’t think that if Rafael were using vacuum tubes as means of processing for the system it would come even to 5th of that, but here we are, but in gaijin’s opinion the same company that made a system that can intercept a mach 1.4 dart did not managed to figure out physical protection past cast steel. In gaijin’s worldview NATO is technologically inferiors with their free markets and private contracting. So not only are they denying the legitimacy of the from source documentation but also history of USSR at large. I think we’re talking to someone from a different dimension where USSR and by proxy Russia did their own research and did not, throughout their history, were stealing from western designs.

Yes, I initially missed that and then later said it was a sepv3 prototype

The Missing"Shell Shatter" Mechanic for High Angles Real-world physics dictate that when a hyper-velocity dart strikes an armored plate at an angle past 80–82 degrees, the sideways forces cause the rod to instantly snap or disintegrate. It dumps its energy into the air as fragments Gaijin’s physics engine does not properly simulate structural stress and disintegration on the Abrams UFP. Instead of simulating a 2-foot-long metal dart bending and breaking, the game treats the round as a perfectly rigid, indestructible point of kinetic energy. Abrams UFP is 83-85 they need to add real physics.

Btw using swedish tank trials is illegal.

Gaijin accidentally used classified documents.
