I feel people too often conflate preferential treatment with being ALWAYS superior. These are two fundamentally different things.

What do you think the real weight change was for just the hull armor? I noticed they glossed over the APU being lighter and the copper wiring replacement

Exactly.
Equating armor performance solely to total weight is outdated. Modern upgrades are all about optimizing the material density and internal layout. Dismissing performance gains just because there’s no ‘visible’ change in design completely ignores how modern composite armor actually evolves.

The M1A1 and M1A2 SEPv2 don’t have the same armor in game lol. It’s poorly shown in the xray viewer, but it becomes pretty clear in the protection analysis.

They should name the armor package in x ray to be as clear as possible

Unless you want them to also move down in BRs whenever they get “corrected to supposed irl levels”?
