It’s also nowhere near 4.5 tons of armour, which is my point. The MCBS is heavier and on a longer arm.

Why is this not considered a source??:
"The Army began fielding the Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 in
4QFY20. The Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 is an upgrade to the
Abrams M1A2 SEPv2. The upgrades include:
- Power generation and distribution to support the power
demands of future technologies - Compatibility with joint battle command network
- Survivability enhancements including Next Evolution
Armor and reduction in vulnerability to IEDs including
those controlled remotely - Improved lethality by providing the ability for the fire
control system to digitally communicate with the new
large caliber ammunition through use of an ammunition
datalink - Energy efficiency and sustainment due to the
incorporation of an under armor auxiliary power
unit (UAAPU) - Improved silent watch capability"
Why is it that gaijin chooses the source and not the actual and most authentic source?
But the Director Operational Test and Evaluation is not considered legit??
Bonus points for it being a politician with no actual knowledge of the matter too
Because it just says it’s better, but by how much? 20 mm, 50 mm, 100 mm, 2000 mm? You know the answer ?
If we are gonna talk about the armor then the v3 is barely better or an upgrade from the v2, also its missing the APS on the v3, so if you are still complaining about the armor then I guess its a you problem lol
Pics or didn’t happen
No source or technical data linked…
Yet they want all the data for the Sep v3
That’s a bug
But it is not known exactly how much better it is, and compared to the APS, it will probably be a new vehicle
By what can be seen here they expecting 1000 KE protection from a napkin
Where are gaijin’s exact RHAe values for Relikt? By how much was it improved over K5??? “It’s better” isn’t a source!
It mounts to the front tow points and rests a panel against the LFP. It is in every way worse than that an added armor would be for weight distribution. The time spent on the ground is insignificant in operational deployment.
The TWMP and the Dozer Blade are legitimate examples of long-term increased strain on the front suspension commensurate with added armor. The logistical argument made by Gaijin is grossly overstated. However, the argument that “special armor” doesn’t exist on any operational Abrams outside of the five used for training is a legitimate argument.
thats the point sherlock, APS should be on the sepv3, not a different “trophy” abrams
Trophy is possible for the M1A1 FEP as well. We’ll see if it gets it.

The wonders of modern sandwich armor (Ceramics + Glue + Rubber + Steel (or heavy metals like tungsten/uranium) + empty room). The ceramics get developed to break penetrators apart and deflect them on collision either making them miss the hull or lengthen the way to the hull to reduce their energy as far as possible. A really active field of study with “nano-particle structured ceramics” being one of the newest things to improve armor (AMAP uses this for example) without adding weight and keeping current dimensions.
ofc I have it its ez to get I’m just not posting military documents on here go see for yourself
Look. We all know that Russian and Chinese stuff is not as technically robust as Western Stuff. The sad truth is that if this game was in any way realistic with modern equipment then only the Western Countries would be competitive.
A reminder for everyone. Gaijin has no idea how modern armor or rounds work. Why? Because it’s all classified. They base everything off of guesswork and a Chally I document. To imagine nothing has changed in 50 years is insane.
And how do you know already? do you have inside sources?
Since we haven’t publicly seen how much Gaijin is improving the LFP armor on the SEPv3 yet.
