Redesign the navy's targeting system to be different from WT Mobile

NO ONE here has found the “Battles more tactical”. How could they have become more tactical? Why would a more simplistic mobile gaming auto-aiming system create “more tactical” matches?

There was never anything wrong with these ships. The Arras is one of the best performing 3.0 boats in the game to the player who knew how to use it. The issue wasn’t about AIMING. You learned that. It was about how damage models responded to rapid fire weapons. ANY of those boats are NOT going to fair any better against an SKR or 206.

No one is learning anything about aiming now. There’s not enough information to do that. The current system is unabashedly and objectively worse. You have no awareness of where your guns are. No lead indicators to give you an idea of how fast your guns swing. Nothing.

It needs to be reverted and reconceived.

Perfect example how costal can outplay bluewater atm .

You keep taking screenshots of end match standings. That means nothing to anyone. It doesn’t prove anything, or illustrate anything. Cool. You wrecked a bunch of bots. Of which this match is half full of. This doesn’t make any point. Except you’re good at half empty matches.

Because gameplay is not all about aiming and shooting, if you don’t wanna play smart it’s your problem.

Arras is bad example. And you know why.

Yes they do now, cause they can hit them with first shot easily if SKR and 206 are dumb.

If you don’t wanna learn that doesn’t mean nobody gonna learn.

Just to please some imba abusers? SL farmers ?

You could check that fight and learn something .

I’m sorry. Can you point on the War Thunder where gameplay has not been all about aiming?

Which mode of War Thunder, historically, has not had aiming as its primary component of gameplay?

What’s left? Manuvering!?!? In a BB? in a Heavy Cruiser? On an open water map? What are we talking about here. I don’t understand.

  • The information to learn from has been stripped.
  • The gunplay/mechanics CHANGE, without explanation, when you’re targeting a boat, versus NOT targeting a boat.
  • You have NO WAY to adjust your fire manually so that you can actually apply knowledge to skill shots.

What do you think a “no brains” aimbot ai aiming system is doing right now? You don’t even have to man your guns. …comeon man. You don’t even have to actively use your guns for them to target and fire.

That’s not true

so why then i am on first place in that match with big gap if all so simple now, and bottom players done 10X less impact ?

maybe simply due to fully grinded ships and crew?

Chill out, guys, you should take this to DMs. Nobody wants to scroll through personal arguments that barely contribute to the topic.

I want to say something about the NAB’s targeting system, but seeing this has killed the vibe.

I just want to ask Kweedko a simple question.
Do you want to play the game, or do you want to be played by the game?
Because to me, a veteran naval player, the new aiming system took away our right to play the game from the moment it debuted. The AI took away the control of the gun, decided where to aim, and where to shoot. We players now only have control over choosing the target and which part of the target we want to destroy, and that is not playing.
I saw many players switch the control to AA gun and leave their main gun and 2nd gun to AI control. They chose a target, and then the AI shot the hell out of the target. That is not fun at all.
If a gamemode does not give the player fun and enjoyment, that gamemode is not worth playing anymore.
I dropped my WoWS account with 8+ tier X ships and 5+ premium ships to play Naval in War Thunder years ago, grinding nearly the full techtree of ships in Germany, US, Japan, and Gaijin give me this in return?
NAB in War Thunder is fun, back then in the previous major update. I was very excited waiting for Iowa, Bismarck, Vanguard, and Yamato. Now? I’m considering re-downloading WoWS because at least they still give me the power to control my ship fully, not with the help of a stupid AI, HAIYA!!!

across all mode in War Thunder Arcade aiming has always been “regular aim with a lot of assistance” and not "point anywhere and we will compensate the lead and trajectory yourself. Boot yourself out of “suggestion” section of the forum man, you’re too stupid for your own good. do you shove fork into electrical outlet when you were kid or something?

Are you even tried to learn how to aim with new system?
If all who vote for “bring all back” play with the same performance now, i think that argument that new aiming is so simple and easy and requires no skill is irrelevant. And looks like my argument about peps who don’t want to learn was more than right.

Spoiler

I play a lot of NAB and the changes are terrible. If you look at a replay you can actually see the AI gunner aiming somewhere totally different then where you are pointing.
The AI is in a constant state of insubordination and dereliction of duty in the face of enemy.

Cause they broke over obstacle aiming 10 days ago and still didn’t fixed that

Personally I think the entirety of naval needs a rework

The old system sucked. I like the new one and if you don’t like it then play realistic.

What do you play, primarily?

Thanks for your vote and input!
No, most arcade players don’t have the time/patience to play realistic battles.
Not a realistic solution for an arcade problem.

Not to mention realistic mode needs work too from what I’ve heard.
