Realistic Air Battles - endurance mode

Suggestion: Game Mode with More Diverse Objectives and Extended Duration (endurance battles for realistic too)

Hello everyone! I’d like to propose a discussion about adding a game mode that offers more diverse objectives and longer durations than the usual casual battles, similar to what already exists in Simulator mode.

While Simulator mode already provides this kind of experience, I feel that many players flying ground attack aircraft, like the A-10 Thunderbolt and Su-25, are not able to use these planes to their full potential. Instead of focusing on ground targets, they are forced into direct engagements with air superiority fighters, which hinders their effectiveness and intended role in battle.

My suggestion is that the developers consider introducing a more tactical and extended game mode, where ground, air, and naval objectives are equally important, allowing each type of aircraft to perform its role more effectively.

What do you all think? Would this type of game mode add more depth to battles? What other ideas could we discuss to improve this experience?

Mission Proposals:

  • Attack on Ground Transport Convoys: Missions focused on attacking convoys of trucks and light vehicles transporting supplies to the front lines. This type of mission would be ideal for ground-attack aircraft.
  • Close Air Support (CAS) in Frontline Combat: Missions dedicated to close air support, where players could assist ground forces by attacking enemy tanks and vehicles.
  • Attack on Fixed Bases or Factories: Missions focusing on destroying critical infrastructure, such as operational bases or factories.
  • Attack on Enemy Airfields: Missions involving attacks on enemy air bases, destroying hangars and runways to hinder their ability to refuel and launch fighters. (like AIR SB endurance)

Bonus Suggestions (Possibly more difficult to implement):

  • Attack on Trains: Missions where players must intercept and destroy moving supply or troop transport trains.
  • Attack on Naval Fleet: For maps with coastal or river areas, missions focused on attacking warships, transport ships, or naval convoys.
    Missions with NPC Aircraft: Addition of NPC aircraft that could provide support or serve as targets for protection or destruction, adding more dynamism to air battles.

Devs abandoned attempts to polish ARB EC due to impotent game designer(s), but also we have truly bad World War gamemode to prove dev’s disability to create anything interesting and stimming.

My point: there no point to try to create new modes while default ones are boring and kinda “testing placeholder from 2014” looking.

Sumup: We can dream, but we can’t have it.

Must be new here. It sounds like a variation of Air RB EC what you are proposing.

There have been quite some people trying to get EC for Air RB into the game over the years, but somehow for some reason… the threads disappear. I don´t wanna suggest stuff but it seems to me that the topic is not only being ignored, it´s actively suppressed.

Weirdly enough this never gets forwarded, ideas with 20 upvotes get forwarded. Enduring Confrontation for air RB with 200 upvotes? Nope.

They conventiently deleted the old thread when redesigning the forum. Which was shortly after they used a ton of ideas to implement EC for Naval to save a failed “aspect of the game”, most likely since many of the ideas brought into that mode where taken from the discussion. Why give credit or get attention to something when you can just delete it, right?

So yeah, as much as I would love to see EC in WT I highly doubt Gaijin will ever implement anything new that takes more than 5 minutes of work. Only stuff that brings a lot of money for little effort gets put into the game.

Money is everything apparently.

Remember: Acting like you listen to the playerbase is cheaper and easier than actually listening to the playerbase. And the Statistics are the only viable thing ever. Everything has to be ACCORDING TO STATISTICS.

P.S.: Almost forgot to remind people of the glorious YT dev Q&A where one of the devs stated something along the lines of: “We know you want it, but trust me you don´t want it, because we know better what you want, than you know what you want”

It really is insane how this topic has just been ignored. There’s a very large base begging Gaijin to add RB EC and they don’t even respond. They just ignore it.

Idk what it is anymore but ive pretty much stopped putting money into this game. I just play for fun now and try to avoid spending anything since Gaijin doesn’t seem to be interested in feedback on Air RB.

Yepp my whole Clan decided to stop spending anything on the game. Fun part is, we´re all “old” dudes that have a “fairness” mindset that even give a Company like Gaijin the Benefit of the doubt. So everyone individually for him/herself decided that Gaijin is tone deaf and doesn´t care.

And considering the most Zen and chilled dude that ALWAYS gives EVERYONE the benefit of the doubt and tries to reason any discussion, is at the point where he just fed up with the state of the game says it all.

Gaijin doesn´t want a good game, doesn´t want a fair game. They want money.

Oh and yeah they seem to hate on anything that involves the usage of brain. Since not only is anything related more complex game modes ignored… all new maps go in the direction of City Maps in Ground RB. In addition to that power positions and flanks are being edited and removed. While it may be argued as “fairness” I call BS and just see it as numbing down the game to make it more “palatable” for the “masses”.
