Real question, how do i disable this nonsense red square when I lock a target with AAM?

Happens with EF2000 and Rafale, MIG-35… and probably others have this issue too.

Other top tier jets dont have this, but i recall seeing something similar on F14B in the past

Is this a bug ? Disable sight stabilization gets rid of the red rectangle only for a split second and it always appears on the target you lock with your radar, or hower over in TWS…
And the CCRP white line?

Not an issue. The Radar slaves the sight (in this case, IRST) to what you’re looking at on radar. It was a popular feature asked for long ago. Yes, it gets in the way sometimes, but that’s the way it is
