Bringing this thread back.
Does anyone know why the HSTVL can’t operate with one crew member aside from the commander? From what I understand, the driver and gunner can both drive, shoot and use the commander (hunter/killer) view. I’d like to see this added to the game.
Same with the RDFLT. Both the driver and gunner can operate and shoot the main gun. The hunter/killer system is missing as well (commander view) It can rotate independently from the turret.
Does the RDFLT have it’s own gun optic or is it just the hunter/killer system?
Are the smoke grenades ever coming for the RDF?

Because the driver likely has no gunner controls.
The TVs that the gunner, driver and commander use can all display the gunsight output, commander optic output or driver camera output. They all have controls that can manipulate the turret, gun and hull when needed.
RDF/LT and HSTV-L are the sole two turreted tanks that actually should remain combat capable with only one crew remaining.

I thought the commander didn’t have driving controls, sweet. Hey @Conraire think you can look into this a bit further?
the driver cannot operate the gun; they can likely see the gunners view but they cannot operate the gun, however true information is likely classified since the army still has the HSTVL in “storage” but its in bad shape
Yes the driver, commander and gunner can shoot. They did testing with a Commander/gunner and a Commander/driver setup.
“being developed”, it’s not relevant to the final iteration of the HSTVL, if you can provide an updated source that was created after its completion, that would be a different story
Brake pedal has a bar extending across to both the driver and gunner
Gunner’s joystick
Both driver and gunner get the same video sources
Driver’s tv screen removed but goes in that box
Driver’s side
Gunner’s controls
Commanders controls
Full video is here, guy did a nice job looking inside the HSTVL. Wish he did more around the driver’s area

I also noticed this, about 25.4mm of homogeneous armor and 25.4mm of aluminum. Notice the difference of coloration, the homogeneous armor is a bit rusty and the aluminum has pitting. Gaijin got that down pretty darn well!

Hey all, I found that there is a AAI penetrator from ADA058596. If we look at older documentation, it is mentioned that the AAI penetrator was named directly in the Darpa to Stoner document. I did some calculations. The muzzle penetration should be correct but I used AI to scale the original table to get the new numbers.

Penetrator weight = 1.36KG
Projectile weight = 2.39KG
15.38 - .62 = 14.76"

379/2 at 60 Degrees at 10m = 190mm

379/1.15 at 30 Degrees at 10m = 330mm

379/1 at 0 Degrees at 10m = 379mm

XM885 should be renamed AAI Penetrator
Let me know if I missed anything. Thanks
Seems like this post is getting ignored too
Yup, silence
