Also the updated RWR and you’re forgetting all Hornets produced in Finland has Titanium Keels, the MLU 1 also converted any original hornets from the US to feature the reduced weight from the Titanium keel. Niche detail but i dont see many talk about it.
This is one of the first Hornets to arrive in Finland and would undergo weight reduction later during its conversion to MLU 1. It shouldn’t be any extreme weight reduction and not worth bug reporting imo.
Iirc the Swiss also have Titanium keels to replace the steel ones.
My only argument against American vehicles in other trees is that the more modern you get, the more it’s American vehicles vs American vehicles. If they ever add the f35, it’s literally gonna be a couple f22s, a couple su57s, maybe a couple j35s from china, and then the rest is just f35 variants from every air tree. We’re already seeing this with the f16, f15, and f18
That and there was multiple bug reports for the US premium F/A-18C which would have brought it in line with what the Swiss premium F/A-18C has, but gaijin denied such for balance reasons.
And then promptly sells the items requested at the same BR but in a different tree.
The NF-5C situation is even more cut and dry given the addition of AIM-9Js to the US premium F-5C was shot down for balance, not historical accuracy, but now the NF-5C exists at the same exact BR but with AIM-9J equivalents, so whats the reason now of the F-5C not getting AIM-9Js if the original reason given was “Balance”.
The NF-5C is just OP at 10.7 and it shouldn’t be used as justification for any rebalancing. I have no idea why gaijin thinks an F-5E equivalent at 10.7 is balanced, but here we are.
Its a better F5E, sure it lacks the radar but its a more lightweight chassis than the F5E. Its the only F5 model i stuggle to beat with the F-5A(G)-40. Around 1000kph i have better TWR than an F5E so i normally win my gun fights but the NF-5 is better than me at all speeds and better than all F5E’s at all speeds.
The F-15JM isn’t identical to the american one though. And if we’re doing this, the F-15J is heavier than the F-15A. AAM-3s are also heavier than 9Ms and AAM-4s are a lot heavier than AIM-120s.
Haven’t said that they’re identical. I’ve said that the American F-15C is overly fat, by around 400 kilos in empty weight (operating weight with oil, ammo, pilot and minimum fuel)
My personal problem is less about distinctive US vehicles being better in other nations but rather the unstoppable nation dilution we have seen in the past few years.
I mean it’s too late to complain anyways but, I honestly preferred when there were clear lines of what you were gonna face on the enemy team and seeing your nation’s vehicles in the enemy team was a rare occasion. It probably made balance a bit harder to deal with but it’s still weird to see Leopards spread across four different nations for example and I pray that we never see M1s in the Taiwanese subtree but I guess that’s just the future view of the developers, a mixed bag gameplay.
I don’t mind other nations getting US jets, I just wish that they didn’t always get better versions. The F18C that just released is a kick in the balls for US mains, even though the difference is not really that big.
