But you want to have an aircraft that can outrun anything to a base and get to the base whilst ignoring the entire enemy team. You want to be completely immune to anyone and everyone else in game. That is P2W.
Before Phoenixes got buffed (multipath nerf etc.) this usually worked. Except for some edge cases. But you already told me about the BR bumps, so everyting will be fine again.
Hopefully though, with this BR increase, MP will be totally removed. Its a stupid, ahistorical mechanic designed to give low skilled players a defence against easily defeated missiles.
Though would laugh my ass off if the WTD61 now gets raised to 11.7 because it was being to effecient in ARB as a base bomber (it is better than the Tornado Gr1 at 11.7, so not beyond the realm of possiblity)
The fact people still complain about the AIM-54 when its never been a good missile in-game, remains comically nerfed, and there are vastly superior missiles in-game that now exist is WILD.
The AIM-54 is just about only good to kill oblivious players who actively fly into the thing.
This is what years of gaijin handholding the player-base with horrid game decision such as excessive multipath and the likes does to a community.
Sidenote: peak meme game o7
I would like to disagree. First 2 week after its introduction. After that just those that do a straight line complain.
It was introduced in the middle of the massive radar nerf (aka: The Dark Times), during which every radar missile had significantly inferior seekers than currently seen due to gaijins attempt at pandering to players complaining about the AIM-7F a while earlier. It was not a good missile on release, and has never been a good missile. If a player had a modicum of knowledge about radar missile combat, or eyeballs, its always been practically impossible to be hit by, even to this day, when its technically at its “best” in-game…
Ahahaha
Base bombing with the Tornado GR1 (higher BR than the WTD61) easy and chill, all it takes is a minimal amount of route planning and you don’t get bothered by anyone most of the time.
One of funniest topic I have ever seen in recent years.
doppler radars are basically immune to chaff if your not moving parallel to the radar / not moving at all
I dunno, some say that they decreased this multipath height cuz some IRCCM meta me flying F111F, I rarely encounter them such as AIM9M (and I, I suppose, get used to deal with Matra Magics, maybe)
But at 11.7 every1 just dies from AIM7F, R24R and R27ER, just some Mexican standoff from mid distance until 1 team is “depleted”, plus of course dudes who die from AIM54 and Fakour
After 100 matches I died only 1-2 times cuz of Fakour or Phoenix, cuz after all they fly big distances, they have bad G pull, cuz of distance they are less accurate by default I suppose
Could some1 tho explain me how the hell this dude managed to even lock onto me when I was flying low, dispensing chaff? Yes, I wasn’t doing any manevuers cuz I honestly didn’t believe that he’ll be able to lock onto me when I fly within the hills (plus at least on this plane RWR also shows allies’ missile launching so yeah)
The main question is how to even evade locking whatsoever? Pre chaff doesn’t work to me in these front hemisphere situations
22.5 MB file on MEGA (that’s th e video)
Oh how Phantom launched AIM7F without even tracking me beforehand when I was flying pretty low to the ground and shooting chaff
I’ve also made the expierience that IR missiles are totally meaningless. Even the most advanced ones almost never hit. All you need is to drop some flares, even the IRCCM’ed ones go for it. You don’t even need to switch off the afterburner. Its so easy to counter them that they lost almost all significance.
Indeed most kills are just done by radar missiles. Almost nothing helps realiably to counter them. Chaffs never do anything vs. doppler radars. Notching is just a myth. All what helps is to turn cold. But this means you abandon the base or the fight.
Whats needed is a zone where radar locks simply won’t work. I’d suggest 1500m altitude. Radar missiles should be only a thing for high altitude BVR combat. All who don’t like this green bracked nonsense lock thing could just stay below 1500m and do dogfighting and ground missions. Right now its super meh. Currently Air RB is a terrible game mode about green brackets, red circles and reading the kill feed messages.
FIX it!
I really need to a see an example of you attempting to chaff and or notch a missile, I’m confident you have no idea what you’re doing.
Does anyone have problem locking enemy on 1-2km when you behind him in clouds with IR missles??
Like this cloud meta aint it I dont know how Gaijin tought that was a good idea it kills a multipathing and all of the fun most of the time Im just looking at white screen…
Also lately AIM-120 being locked on enemy somehow hit my teammate and Its sooo stupid.
Oh no, Gunjob is doing it again…
IR missiles don’t lock on when you’re within clouds. It always has been like this. Same for IRST locks in Ground Forces. SPAAs and tanks can’t IRST lock if the target is obstructed by fog or clouds.
