R-77s are horrid and the R-77-1 is needed

Not R-60M, you could still flare it in an afterburning F-14B at point blank %70-80 of the time lol

Ahahaha I see, what were you saying about selective memory? Just reminding you about R-27ER.

Not really, I don’t remember the magics performance but r60s went for flares even more than they do now. They’d even pull 60g to catch a flare

I meant compared to now. Old R-60M has better flare resistance to now R-60M.

R-60M has the same 1:1 resistance as the 9L, the only difference is that it has a much wider seeker FOV

FoV and flare resistance nerf on the same patch.

the band ratios were kept identical and lock range was increased overall, no total baring on pure flare resistance

Yeah and USSR mains were crying about T-90M that should be 11.3 because bad reverse speed. And now crying about not having the best missile in the class, git gud.

Because one produces by other thing

Flare resistance was only because of fov
Btw, old 9L not hard to flare

Selective memory, the best word to describe you. ER, you can use your f14b with 300 chaff or fly low and its gone. You said the ussr always dominated for eternity, name all the times it did then

You were not there. The 9L was actually bonkers.

Also a question. Who made up that R-77 has worse notch and chaff resistance than AIM-120?

The 9L relocks an engine after being flared, unlike the R60M.

Yes.

The R-60M also does that.

Hahahah good one, wanna see how many abrams threads there are?

In what case? Have you used the r60m before?
