I could but I’d rather not anger the mods anymore than I have already. I’d rather not lose my progress/premiums. I have an in game chat ban atm.
You can lose premuims and progress?
That’s fair
Yes by breaking the rules so don’t.
Oh OK
Thank you; I can hopefully contribute to gaijin finally balancing ground RB when it comes to CAS spam.
The 2 main things they perma ban for are boting and hacking so don’t try those ever because they will perma ban you and
I don’t even think you can do that on PS lol
You’ll be surprised what lengths some people will go too. It’s sad
Yeh but sometimes it’s funny to see low tier players accusing lvl 100’s of hacking.
No
Air sim until 5.7 as max lobby tier is fun.
Once it hits 6.0, the ju-288 menace makes finding a functional lobby too annoying to bother.
As a soft minimum, I see 3.0 as sort of the usual point where planes stop having weird scopes that mess with the camera and start having decent engine and gun performance.
Sim becomes unfun when there’s an air event and the skies fill with zombers and people leaving the moment they die one time.
GRB is fun when there aren’t a lot of planes and it’s Sands of Sinai, Tunisia or a similar map.
GSB is fun when I can actually play my vehicles (very rare as mood rarely lines up; rather just fly usually.)
Most fun I have is when my plane is utterly wrecked and barely holding on to dear life and I make a skin-of-teeth landing.
Thank you all for 126 replies when I made this topic I didn’t expect my topic to be very popular.
Open if you are curious
@Константинович7 said I should have a roll called Poll guy is this a good Idea?
If you opened that /\
- Yes for Poll Guy roll
- No
If you like the Pz 4s than you will like the Turan 3 as well.
Ok
I’m actually obsessed with preserving the vehicles, only few CAP I played are the SU-11, nothing beats the satisfaction of having several kills then return to the airfield and J out to get back into ground vehicles.
The answer to that is a stern no. It can be fun when the stars align once every week.
War Thunder at its core, is fun. Driving tanks and flying planes in a medium that doesn’t require memorizing an entire cockpit, is fun. What sours the game for me is Gaijin. The deceptive marketing, the terrible community managers and bug report managers and the miscommunication between them, moderators who sometimes speak on behalf of Gaijin and then sometimes throw out the “hey man, I don’t work there. Im just a mod” shtick, being insulted by the creative director for not knowing how F2P, the sheer amount of half baked features and bugs…I geninuely believe the game could be better under the likes of EA or company.
I guess having a lack of competition plays a role in all of that but yeah.
Gaijin just wants money
And to a certain extent thats fine. Like I get there are salaries to pay, development costs, building or studio rent, server maintenance, and such. Gaijin has to make money as does any other business. But there are good ways to do it and scummy ways.
FOMO, however you want to cut and rationalize it, is scummy. Lackluster battlepasses that ignore player feedback on improvements. Creating and relying on a progression system that is painfully slow and tedius but hey, buy some premium account and it will only be slightly less terrible. Its pay-for-convenience. Which, by its very nature, means the base game is designed to be inconvenient.
They’ve only recently addressed this but selling GE vehicles for prices or amounts not easily obtained in their own store. Oh, heres a premium tank for 8093 GE but we dont sell that. So you could buy a 10,000 GE pack or you can get a 5K, 2.5K, and a 1000 GE pack. They didn’t change that out of the goodness of their heart but because the EU is cracking down on what they themselves called scummy business practices.
