Python 4 for F-16D and F-16I

Yes ofc it doesnt pull 70gs at low speeds
But u can see in the video its like 40 50gs right of the rail doing 180 in like 2 sec

I’m not gonna lie I wasn’t expecting python 4 to be that maneuverable (irl), pretty damn impressive without tvc. I was just going off how it is in game/in files, but hot damn is it impressive irl

Yea the thing is that without tvc the missiles is lighter ,cheaper and much much more reliable which is important in the iaf docturine

In the game it has alot of darg so after it will burn it will be like a mica so another reason why it isnt that op

Python-4 can achieve 70G with dual plane only, if im not mistaken it can only pull 50G with single plane at max.

And it does indeed have 50G limit in game.

Now, whether missile actually reaches “muh 50gees” is entirely another matter, even currently when taking the most maneuvreable missiles and asking them to pull as hard as possible when flying as fast as possible in low altitude for densest air possible, even specimens like MICA barely approach 40G when turning around on their heel for 180 shot.

You misunderstand what I was saying. Most people saying Python-4 would be too OP think 9X, SRAAM, and MiCA-IR are counterparts to it. They are not. Python-4 is just an incredibly good missile for its time.

The only missile that may be a true year counterpart is aim 9X, which was first developed in early 90s (the first variant)

For example, the comments abour python-4 being gen 4.5 when its from the early 90s. Thats gen 4.

Ehhh nah, it is the best in its category, just not by as much as people seem to think. Stuff in its category being aim-9M, r-73M, aam-3, pl-8B, magic II.

Its IRCCM is on the better end, but their are missiles with very direct equivelents. Its manueverability is very good, but its not actually that much better . The only real advantage it has is its energy. Honestly if stuff like a magic II or AAM-3 had comparable energy to the python-4, they’d also be capable of re-engaging missed targets.

It’s energy really isn’t that special either anyways, it’s about on par with r74m which is its equivalent

You cannot say a missile from 2012 is the counter part to a missile from the early 90s.

That would literally be like saying a 2012 toyota forerunner is the counterpart to a 1992 jeep grand cherokee.

you do know what happened to the soviet union in 1991? Everything they had got shelved, the k-74me was first put out at 1997 but didn’t enter service till around 15 years later because russia had to build up the economy again and they had like no defense funding. BTW the missile they were gonna build in the 90s was gonna be basically an asraam with tvc with a imaging seekerhead, but that didn’t happen (due to funding so the r74m2 got higher priority, lower costs so russia went with that) and got put on hold until 2021 when it finally began development again. kinda funy how both britain and russia converged on essentially the same design ->watch asraam be super meta

Its a big step up from all 4th gens

So aam3 or PL-8B would be about 4.3gen? lol

soo… pack it up boys “NOT A BUG” more than 2 damn years waiting for this missile and the answer is “developers are not currently planning these missiles”. How much longer are we going to have to wait or how much longer are they going to plan? it is extremely absurd at this point.

It’s not, for ammunitions which are not implemented in game, adding them would be from a suggestion, not a bug report.

soo… you are suggesting me to do another one as a suggestion?

the thing is i cannot understand why in other reports they say “forwarded as a suggestion” and in this report they cannot do the same.

look here this is my derby report for the F-16C Block 40

“Forwarded as a suggestion” whats wrong with my SUFA report about missing Python-4? i dont understand.

If u try that i will support
We need to create pressure on them like usa mains did with the f15e engines

That is a pretty different case though
