Python 3's IRCCM/flare resistance

The Python-3 missile in War Thunder currently lacks any form of infrared counter-countermeasure (IRCCM) functionality, making it extremely vulnerable to flares. However, in real life, the Python-3 was designed with IRCCM capabilities to improve its resistance to common countermeasures like flares. According to publicly available sources, such as the Wikipedia article on the Python missile series, the missile is explicitly listed as using “infrared homing with IRCCM.” This means that the current in-game behavior does not accurately represent the missile’s real-world performance. Additionally, the official War Thunder Wiki acknowledges the lack of IRCCM as a limitation in-game, which contradicts historical sources. For better realism and balance, the Python-3 should be given a degree of flare resistance reflecting its actual IRCCM capability.

Its talking about the post Python 4’s

Wikipedia is not good as a source, at least a main one. Its talking about a different Python. Python 3 never had IRCCM
