Usually when I fly this high I eat AIM-54’s
that one was just straight up nonsense because your radar wasn’t in track or launch mode, cannot be attributed neither track memory nor sidelobing
have you tried deploying chaff with your doppler shift to the missile being zero
Thats a skill issue
Fakour/phoenixes are pure awareness/stupidity checks
I know how to notch it’s not that, it’s that when I’m already engaged with someone I always eat a missile from other place.
oh yeah, this just gave me some perspective to your nonsense comment of R-27ERs being unnotchable within 10 kilometers.
you die to AIM-54s, ofcourse you’d say that.
it helps to be aware
I don’t think 10km range is enough range for you to do notching against an R-27ER because it’s a fast missile
it’s a Mach 5.8 missile that commonly flies around mach 4.2 or 4.5
it still needs to accelerate and perform corrective maneuvers, it’s not going to instantly accelerate to mach 5 the moment the motor ignites.
question is why are you approaching R-27ER armed plane headon instead of pre-notching.
just because it CAN go mach 5, doesn’t mean it WILL, and it certainly won’t get above mach 4 when targetting an aircraft at 10 kilometers actively entering a notch and performing IOG breaking maneuvers
I play on the ground my friend not up in the air, I don’t like high altitude battles they’re boring to me I tried doing BVR it’s so boring
Not my playstyle I want to do shit on the ground
the other problem is that they overestimate the R-27ERs acceleration and underestimate the drag it generates when performing large maneuvers
AKA: eat a top-down missile and then complain

-
sidelobing, missile had no maneuvering left to do when the radar finally left launch mode
-
if i can get a launch warning from 6km behind an F-14, it’s not too unreasonable to say the F-2’s radar has 3km backward sidelobe especially when the radar was gimballed to the limit
Can you redo it please?
I had to fix one of the links
(Mobile sucks)
