Not even mockups of the AAM-4 were ever put on the outer pylons. Just the wooden sparrow mockups from its first unveiling.
And yeah F-2 HMD theory is in a pretty dead state currently, even most of the evidence we did have has been disproven.

Recent evidence has made it appear far more likely that was for the F-15 then for the F-2.

We dont need to recompress the BRs even further when ADTW is better than most 12.7s
AFAIK Japan never had those and we dont know if they were compatible

Its the same discussion as people crying over premium Hornets not having ARHs so they cant compete when in reality the premium Hornets are extremely powerfull.
You are correct, Japan never bought AIM-7Ps.
What we need, is a seperation from ARH to SARH. SARH Missels cant compete with Actibe readar homing missels.

Guess what genius, the F-2A ADTW in game is a mockup from 2013 and it didn’t carry AIM-7M’s if you think that it shouldn’t have AIM-7P’s that means you know something better then explain what should the F-2A ADTW have

Aircrafts better than the nonsensical F-2A “ADTW” in the game: AV-8B+, JA37DI F21, JA37DI, SU-33, SU-27, F-4F KWS LV, F-14A/B, J-8F, F-5TH TCU, Sea Harrier FA 2, Tornado F.3 Late, the so called “early” F/A-18C’s that don’t exist.

Yes they do, F-2’s didn’t get AAM-4s untill relatively recently.
Fun fact: despite the AAM-4 entering service before the F-2, the F-2 actually predates even the design of the AAM-4, with the AAM-4 not even being pitched untill late 1994 (a year before the first flight of the F-2, and once its design was already mostly done). And the actual research and design of the missile didnt start untill 1996, after the F-2’s first flight.

Guess what, most of the 12.0 Phantoms carried 9Ls in their service life. F-4E carried 9Ls as well.
MiG-23MLD carried R-73s as far as i know
None of these planes carry the missiles they could.
Its balancing decision, same as 7M on ADTW.
Its pointless to argue whenever ADTW did or did not carry AAM-4s.
No one denies it could carry them.
But guess what, it was decided it will be a sparrow only variant so thats what we get.
And it doesnt need AAM-4s to be competetive same way premium Hornets dont need AMRAAMs.

Gaijin’s balancing reasons are irrelevant to me, if you’re not going to add a VARIANT of the already existing aircraft with proper armament and specifications then don’t bother bringing that aircraft to begin with.
like I said then put it to 13.7 with AAM-4’s it wouldn’t hurt a single soul in this community if the F-2A ADTW premium was made to be identical with the F-2A in the TT.
Or you put it at 13.3 and give it XAAM-4’s there are many other options that are 150% better than what has been done currently in the game
Why would it be 13.3 with AAM-4’s if the tt version is 13.7 with the same loadout?
