Put the F-2A ADTW at 12.7 or keep it at 13.0 and give AIM-7P's

One of the best 13.0 aircraft in the game btw

Shhh, you’ll alert the horde if you say things like that.

I need this thing moving up
It won’t stop violating my FGR.2 from behind.

Its already at 13.0, increasing its br without changing its arsenal will kill this plane effectiveness a lot.

Broski gaijin ultimately is the one to decide lol

12.0 Is a worst place to be for FGR.2 unless…

FGR2 and many jets pays the price because of compression.

Back in the day when it was first added it was my favorite and most used Phantom model in this game, in fact alongside with MiG-21MF its my second most used jet in this game, sadly nowadays it struggles a lot.

Best solution would be the adding Aim-9L’s and keeping in its current br.

Absolute sexy plane to play,
I tried all the load outs/ engagement approachs
Its a struggle NGL.

It was a beast back in the day and considering US was stuck with F4C when it first came out, you were unmatchable in terms capabilities.

I think 12.0 BR now is a Premium hell tbh
Tech tree player would either buy talisman or go to easier BR (which is also rare)

12.0-13.3 is literally hell hole at this rate.

Despite that I enjoy flying with my Netz (Mod), F-20 and Swiss premium F-18C.

Yeah no this plane is fine

Lowkey, after looking into this from a purely technical compatability, im not even sure that the Aim-7P actually has datalink IRL…

The only original source that states it is forecast international; which isnt a primary source, was written without deffinitive information on the missile, and got other details wrong like it saying it uses a different motor section. It says it gets datalink through the same system as the aim-120 do, which the F-2 isnt compatable with but…

The bigger concern is that the one primary document there is on the aim-7P; the approved navy training plan for the 7M/P, N88-NTSP-A-50-8008C/A… kinda, doesnt say anything about datalink guidance.

It talks about each part of the missile’s guidance control system, and about how it receives information, but… no mention of datalink anywhere… and its not mentioned in the “new features” of the 7P in the document…

So uh, yeah. In my honest opinion the F-2 cant get the 7P to datalink cause, the 7P shouldn’t have datalink… unless anyone has some primary source im missing.

But uhh, let’s just not talk about in-game shall we?
Love my datalinked Fox-1s

7P has uplink, not real datalink.

the full extent of the uplink probably isn’t as advanced as what we have in warthunder (missile suddenly yanking in a different direction when you switch targets), as the uplink was just to shoot the missile from outside of lock range

You mean using their rear receiver to make up for a weak lock signal?

Thats something that A. All sparrows have, and B. Is kinda somewhat already in game, with SARHs being able to be launched without a full lock.

B, no. you can shoot, sure, but if the target isn’t gonna end up infront of the missile you’ve wasted it.

Bought it as my first premium and since day 1 i have been losing 70% of my matches and at some point stopped playing RB till now it’s been months since last played RB it is impossible to fight at 14.0 as I never get 13.0 I would really appreciate a refund at this point lmao

I just knocked the dust off my F-2 ADTW, and since I was critical of @YigitCanAydin s flying, I submit my own F-2ADTW flight for review, I’m an average player at best and I know I made mistakes here, running out of fuel not least among them, but I knew that was a risk when I went to help the friendly Su-30 with under 4 mins of fuel instead of RTBing.

I’ll take a look, btw, the F-2A’s radar seems to be bugged lately. I’ve noticed it losing track of targets way more than it ever has for no discernible reason.

It’s really hampering my awareness.
Not sure if it’s just on my end though
