So Puma is 0.7 BR higher. Lets see why.
Puma:
2 Spikes, reload, then another 2 spike missiles. More pen but top down attack is not modeled in game and you can’t control the missile.
One 30mm cannon, slow firerate, 40mm more penetration with apfsds. If shot in turret, gun is taken out but crew survives.
APS laser dazzler but not helpful as you must be looking in the direction of the missile.
ERA on the sides but only protects from HEAT. Engine block cannot stop APFSDS.
BMPT-72: (BMPT is very similar)
4 ATGM, reload, then another 4 ATGM. Can control missile and rapid fire all at the same time.
Armor protection of a MBT with spall liners and excellent ERA. Will stop APFSDS on 80% of the tank.
Mobility is slightly less than puma but both still faster than MBT.
Shoot gun turret and only one gun is taken out if you shoot the belt. Most of the turret is empty space and disabling electronics will not prevent terminator from shooting. Belt is also considered external so crew will survive and can shoot back with the other gun.
Two 30 mm autocanons with faster firerate.
Secondary gun can kill light vehicles better.
BMPT has 5 crew members so more survivable.
No, it really can’t. A simple hit with HE to the turret instantly destroys it. And otherwise even a 20mm hit usually disables it. Meaning that as soon as it goes up against any other IFV with 20mm+ it’ll just be instantly disabled and taken apart.
It’s armor is also virtually non existant in game, and Spikes are uless.
i want the BMPT to be higher. and yeah maybe the puma and all other such vehicles should go down but id rather have decompression and keep the puma at where it is. also
That’s cuz of “IR MISSILES — +0,7-1.0 TO BR, NO MATTER THEY ARE GOOD OR NOT”. Same with ec665 UHT, which has no gun, no IRCM, but he has pars and that’s enough for snail to give it 13.0. even if these pars are terrible in their damage. 13.0 just because they are IR
