PSA: Just because event exists, doesn't mean you've to participate in it

First of all, j esus christ how you approach this and your thinking is so far apart from the average war thunder is quite hilarious in a weird/sad way. Maybe there must some thinking and reflection to do when 91% of people who voted for you disagree with things you say.

Also, good, this event - not a lot of good vehicles, what about other events? It’s not like situation was any better then, and yet some of the vehicles from previous events sell for hundreds.

I’m fully aware that “the average war thunder” wants to get an event with less grind, I’m just offering my view and reasoning on why it may be as it is now, and why the way it is now is valid just as well, even if it is not popular.

And all this in my personal opinion - be that a popular opinion or not doesn’t really matter, or devaluate it…

Bottom line, this event isn’t for your average player. Good to know.

The whole BP/Event system is the one of biggest reasons why the game has gone down the drain over the years. Thanks to how they are designed to be more grindier in every new iteration, lot of the people are just looking ways the cheese them quickly as possible, which results in crap gameplay experience for those that just want to play normally.

That’s not what I said.

Average player also want less grind in the tech trees, less expensive vehicles etc. (me as well). That doesn’t equal that this isn’t for “the average player”.

Compare this event to other games. I’ve said this before but Big Stompy Robots Online has easily attainable special vehicles and other prizes for their events. Gaijin is the only game company I know of that creates events that are designed to be unattainable by a majority of the playerbase.

Grind isn’t limited to a specific time period, this event is, that’s the biggest issue.
In order to complete an event, you are forced to grind like a mad man for 12 days straight. You can’t do that ? Tough luck.

Events should be designed to make the game more interesting for the masses, not for the top 1% of the playerbase.

These uncomplete-able events are good at one thing, and that’s bringing out the Chinese script bots.

Not a very good way to promote player integrity

Saying these events are optional are being oblivious to the insane amount of vehicles that have come from events, battlepasses and whatnot… sure that some are optional and just side grades, but there are a ton of vehicles that should have been TT vehicles are were and are amongst the best and most interesting vehicles in the game.

Not to mention how events always ruin regular gameplay, everyone is just playing to grind as many points as fast as possible, and if not an event, they’re all doing the BP tasks, if not those, they’re grinding daily tasks, it’s an endless grind.

Here’s the thing, I’ll gladly support the game if it makes it worth my while. If it has cool or unique vehicles I’ll make an effort to get them and maybe buy some GE later in the year. Making an event where the only way for an average player with real life responsibilities to get the vehicles is by forcing them to spend money is abusive to the players.

Many players are not a content creators, don’t have 8 hours after school to play or are not competition gamers. We’re people with jobs and families that just want to blow off some steam every once in a while.

This is my main issue, because it doesn’t make it worth your while, your time and your money is not appreciated at all, spending a $100 on the game gets you very little, spending a 100 hours of your time gets you very little.

The fact they have added hundreds of millions of RP to grind over the years and yet refuse to increase your RP gain at all is just absurd, they made the SL economy a bit better but WT has two grind walls so it just means people end up with SL they cannot use because they still need the RP.

And this doesn’t only showcase the insane bloat this game suffers from, going from 81 million RP in 2019 to 182 million in 2023, it also shows we’re up to 661 event/premium vehicles, so over 1 in 4 vehicles.

Theres absolutely no reason to wear yourself out for these bad events.

If you think that you can just do all this grind and get your top vehicles, think again. Every event like this ended up with people having too much of some materials and too little of some other. Then you will have to go to that gaijin’s “special” black marketplace and sell and buy these materials to finish up your vehicles. For all of that gaijin gets a nice cut. What happens when you guess wrong when testing these stupid missiles? You get 1 of these documents or whatever, instead of 3. How is that going to hinder your grind and progress? For me, the idea that I would have to assemble and test that stupid missile 6 times just to get 2 stupid vehicles makes me wanna puke. The only good thing about this event is that you can grind it with air, ground and naval and ab, rb and sb. The rest is overgrindy and overcomplicated. Yeah, that’s all I need when I get home… more work and more bookkeeping. What’s next, giving your blood?

I’ve been playing so much on Tuesday that I’ve seen events on IS7 i-301 or objetka, and I haven’t done any of them because the event where you have to produce something in this game is until…, most often it’s the first day, I can do it I will do it, the second day you realize how shitty it is and you just give up, I would love to make this American vehicle, but after making two rockets I’ve had enough, because each one was damaged anyway and I have to start the third one, it’s not serious I I don’t know who came up with these tests, but it’s terribly demotivating when you see that something disappears that you worked for for several hours and you have nothing, they could have added more elements to this rocket to make it take longer to assemble and then put it in a box and it would be ready immediately. report, I hope someone from the gaijn will see it, because such tests really discourage people from doing such events

You’re right, 100% testing of these rockets is so demotivating that it’s a drama, I hope it never happens, and the fact that the event is too much overcombined.

Additionally, console players have zero access to the Gaijin market.

They don’t even have the option to buy the vehicles from other people selling them. They have no other options other than TryHarding the event. They get shafted the hardest of all by Gaijin.

What will Gaijin do to remedy such an egregious accessibility issue?
