Protect NEW PLAYERS — Era-based matchmaking: WWII - Cold War learning phase

these tutorials show how to use radars and more its hidden so maybe Gaijin should make it more visible

Ever checked who makes the “X premium plane doesnt have Y” posts?

Literally No tutorials for any form of tactics btw

Really felt on air battles, people don’t know how to boom and zoom because it is never mentioned on any of these.
These people are just dropped into a battle without even knowin what “climbrate” or “flanking” is

Can’t tell if that’s scarcasm, but that basically just covers how to W key and how to aim(not really btw). Literally no tactics, game mechanics, explainations of shell types, machine gun use, the one thing that covers tactics is the encyclopedia which literally was last updated before tanks came out.

tactics would be what players learn by playing Gaijin shouldnt be teaching that

Absolute_Cinema
how on earth did you come to that conclusion

its not fun when a company tells players how to play the game

teaches them how to play the game
you could ignore all of it if you want

you usually learn when your leveling up that’s why you don’t fly with radars at 1.0

That’s why the moment they are given a boom and zoom aircraft (P-400, He-100) they don’t know what to do since WT tutorials don’t even explain the blue guys are friendly? Let alone such an important tactic as boom and zoom or simply the act of climbing?
Let alone in higher tier where repair costs skyrocket and players are dropped without even knowing what notching, multipath or flaring are the moment they step in?

boom and zoom is a tactic that everyone might not enjoy we learn these things by simply playing the game with common sense Gaijin telling players what to do in match’s will make everyone like a bot doing the same thing and ruining creative game play and no one will be finding bugs either

Longer waiting time to join a battle and that would not solve the main problem as title suggest. Gaijin biggest sale in WT are premium ground and air verhicles to new and veteran players. I don’t see how it would help new players at all.

No, not because I like to abuse new players. Simply because I don’t want skill-based system of any form in game where your gains are directly tied to performance.

I’d like to do something with one death leavers and people without lineups / wallet warrior newbies. There is nothing worse than 5 out 15 people leaving in 2nd minute of game… 10.7 - 12.0 disease

Aside from the fact there really is nothing that can be done … what do you suggest?

How about incentivizing staying more?

  • Bigger rewards for objective play.
  • Change “skill bonus” from kills to score.
  • More team work rewards.
  • Repair cost discounts the more vehicles you spawn in.

This would need a rework of the entire score system

I agree incentives can mitigate the problem somewhat - certainly better than trying to punish, as other have suggested.

But the issue will always be there to some extent because of poor matchmaking (constant uptiers) and poor map design.

I think I’d rather have two separate matchmakers. Those who want to play casually, and those who want to play competitively.

Lot of issues with this but it’s getting exhausting to see half the team leave within minutes and spending the rest of the game getting curb stomped.

This is dum
