Proposal for Dynamic and Immersive Sim Mode in War Thunder
I’ve been thinking of a way to possibly improve warthunder sim battles. Currently, the sim mode involves completing tasks in three-hour-long games. But, lacks some progression that a real battle would have.
My proposal is, introduce a sim mode where players can join a server with a large map with multiple ongoing activities. For example: a large battlefield where players can engage in various objectives, such as escort missions, reconnaissance patrols, air-to-ground support, air-to-air(possibly BVR), etc.
Im not sure if I should include this in the same suggestion but, how about including helicopters in air sim? Imagine the added dimension they would bring to the battlefield. This in my opinion would make helicopters a lot more popular, this could also give players an alternative to helicopters PVE.
This new sim mode would not only offer a more diverse and engaging experience but also cater to players who prefer shorter sessions without compromising on realism. Plus, it would also make strategic gameplay and teamwork more important.
Anyways, this is just a suggestion, and I’m curious to see what other people think.
sounds interesting. could you go into a little more detail?
Unfortunately, there are two things that stand in the way of all good suggestions:
the economy … the resulting abuse and the anti-abuse measures. these anti-abuse measures are even worse for the mode than the actual abuse. 2021 Gaijin has completely shaved EC Sim.
the developers … who don’t lift a finger for Sim because there is officially no interest in improving Sim…
Nevertheless, every good suggestion is worth its weight in gold. as long as there are Sim players like you who have wishes, there is hope that our mode will eventually get better.
yes, that’s why it’s good that there are still players who combine tactics and teamwork. that there are players with fresh new ideas.
at times this forum has been 90% about economics and abuse. I think the game would be better without silver lions and only with research points.
