Prop tier: Italy or Japan? I'm struggling to decide

Hello!

So there’s this battlepass thingy that you need to play 5 games with 6 nations each. I’ve most of that either covered, or almost covered.

But! I need a sixth nation and I thought - why not round out my american props with something redfor for more flexibility in lobbies? (something that has given me trouble finding proper matches before).

Italy and Japan both appeal to me, but I struggle to decide. Japan has been recommended to me elsewhere where I asked this question but Italy having access to both NATO and Soviet aircraft for cold war makes it very enticing as well (plus Hungarian planes having readable instruments as a bilingual Hungarian player is a plus for immersion). The cold war is less applicable to my sim interests, but who knows if I’ll ever wanna try jets.

What do y’all advise? My favourite planes to play in sim rn are the P-51C-10 and F4U-1A

Current nations are T4 American Air, T4 British ground & T3 British Air, T2 Soviet ground, T3 German ground, T4 Israel/air.

Added question:

How does redfor/bluefor work for nations like germany and italy where you got both warsaw pact and NATO vehicles in the same TT?

Hungary is until Turan III enjoyable, after that you got only Soviet copies except Lynx KF41 On the other side you will have access to the finest Italian tanks way up to C1 Ariete. Japan is also good, both nations Italy and Japan are simply underestimated, which makes it all the more fun to play them.

I’m thinking more of air-sim, but glad to hear of tank-side as well!

I’m not really a sim player (only capturing areas, bombing stuff, killing AIs at max), although I can tell you that there is no such thing as redfor/bluefor, Hungarian and Italian planes are on one side always, the same is about Germany.
In sim players usually use chat commands like “follow me” to show teammates their position and safe themselves from being teamkilled.

As for a nation, I always propose Italy as it’s my favorite nation.
