Binded the keys to “Head movement: upward-downward” and “Head movement: left-right”, but nothing happens. I play with a mouse-joystick. I looked through all the control settings and found something related to this.
This doesn’t work if you are using a head tracking solution (specifically opentrack).
Same problem here. The crazy thing is that you can bind the standard view axis to keys or mini-joystick/hat.
Like hinjanattori mentioned, I also had this issue and it turned out to be Opentrack. I had tried it out, but didn’t like it (not a fault of the software… it’s awesome, but I just couldn’t do the moving head all around but keeping eyes on my monitor thing).
But, even though I wasn’t using it I had left it installed and it affected the Head Movement functionality. Once deleted the head movement stuff worked again.
(Took months to figure this out)
(May not just be an Opentrak thing, but similar software)
You also need to assign “Enable axis”, and if possible assign this to a toggle switch.
I (Quest 3), have “forward/backward” and “up/down” assigned to two switches, and “enable axis” for both movements on the same toggle switch.
Not sur exactly how to do this if no toggle switches are available, but depending on controler/stick/hardware and it’s programming software it should be possible to also get this toggle to work…
Yes, I also have OpenTrack installed, and after removing it, everything worked for me. Thank you very much!
