Don’t be a seal, evolve.
But they go low for three reasons - new ships, marathons(fast paced games, small predictable maps, more easy killable targets) and favoritism(aka im gonna play my favorite 1.0-2.0, 3.3 boat for thousands of games - ps. there is bunch of threads, since aiming update, of those guys - they are disappointed with new NAB aiming, cause newcomers kill them now more easily cause of it - New ARCADE aiming and more Topics tagged navy)
- Level doesnt mean anything in this game
- Level 100 players somethimes want to start new nation from tier 1. If you match them only against other level 100 players queue times will be insane.
- Low tier is funniest part of this game. Not because of seal clubbing, but because of biplanes, early monos and small tanks (especially British with stabiliser).
It’s not a fix.
Think on it for more than 5 seconds please.
This ☝️ Try not to stress about it bro. It just takes time to “git gud”. I’ve been playing WT for 11 years now and it still takes me HUNDREDS of matches to “git gud” with a new vehicle.
I looked at your Statshark details NOT to insult or make fun of you, and I see that you “only” have ~200 battles so far. HOWEVER, you have ~120 victories 👍 Imo, you are doing JUST fine for a “n00b”. You are going to die, a LOT. Don’t worry about it though! We have all died soooo many times. It just takes time and practice to get better. You will get there, don’t be hard on yourself or let yourself be demoralized 👍
Keep asking questions and looking for advice on how to be more effective in your battles. Also important to note since you are still so new I’m sure your crew skills are still low. I cannot overstate how much of a HUGE difference it makes once your crew skills are higher/ maxed. And I very strongly suggest that you take your time and “Expert Train” the vehicles that you like and are using. HUGE buff to the vehicle’s crew skill when you Expert Train them. Yes, it costs a lot of Silver Lions, but you will make more SL’s with those improved skills.
Finally, if you want to make your life easier I would also strongly suggest buying Premium Time. Especially when it goes on sale. At the end of October, or beginning of November, Premium time will go on sale for 50% off. You can get 180 days of Premium time for $20 on the web store. (Not on sale yet, so $39.99 normally.) It goes on sale twice a year and you can chain them together to keep Premium Time year round. (You can get a full year with Golden Eagles on sale too, but it’s not that much cheaper. I just prefer the direct $20 for 180 days.)
Not only will it speed up your research progress, but more importantly it will greatly increase your Silver Lion income. Which makes it much easier not only buying the vehicles you unlock, but also being able to afford the expert training for the vehicles you are using. Just makes your entire experience more enjoyable overall.
Cheers bro, happy hunting 🍻
Just posting this again.
While I am in favour of SBMM, player level is not the way to do it.
It takes 14,482,500 RP to get to level 100.
If you ONLY and ONLY fly 130% RP bonus planes in air sim and have no premium, getting to level 100 takes:
We know that you cannot earn more RP for going above 15 points:
We observe that 15 minutes alive (maximum time span observable) we have:
1050 - 1978
1950 - 2001
2653 - 2001We can safely conclude that RP gain plateus at around 1050 and ceases to increase regardless of performance - almost triple score and only 1.16% reward increase!
(further evidence: HeliBoys Sim EC Sheet - Google Spreadsheets)
Above is 80% of maximum possible reward. Landing gives us an addition 20% for 2500 RP plus minus a few score.
2500 RP per 15 minutes (assuming always earning 1050 score or higher, always landing)…
((14482500 / 2500 * 15) / 60 )/ 24 = 60.34 days
Now, let’s use a premium account (or a plane with 260% RP bonus - say a jet)
((14482500 / 5000 * 15) / 60) / 24 = 30.17 days
Which of these players do you think is more experienced?
In 30.17 days, the non-premium player ONLY flying the bf109F4 (or A6M3. The two are a few percent within each other) will earn
(30.17 x 24 x 60) / 15) x 2500 = 7240800 RP, which consulting the table:
level 65.
One player with 30 days of playtime is level 100.
The other with 30 days of equal gameplay and playtime is only level 64.Air sim is used as an example because we have a fixed upper cap on RP earned making it very easy to calculate things.
If you aim for balanced fairness, forget player levels exist. They don’t say anything.
Instead, look at some kind of elo rating that’s defined per ranks played.
A crack pilot of WW2 dogfights has very little transferable skills to BVR jet combat and vice versa. Of course, we should acknowledge that neighbouring ranks do influence the nearby ones so initial ELO should be a function of the elo of the ranks above and below with each rank having an increasingly diminishing contribution so that by rank 6, rank 3’s impact has a vanishing influence and vice versa.
( as a fun exercise, I have 750h of total playtime and a playerlevel of 70.
If I spent all 750 hours playing air sim in just the bf109f4, I’d be…
((750 x 60) / 15)) x 2500 = 7 500 000 RP - level 66.
Suppose 300 hours of that 750 being in sim with rank 3.0-5.7 planes kinda explains the theoretical bf109 spammer without premium being so close to my own…
If Instead I did it with premium I’d be level 100 already. Would premium make me a better WW2 plane pilot?)
I’m like lvl 71 rn. I’d be level 100 already if I had prem account from day 0.
What does this tell you about level 100s? Nudge nudge.
(I know it’s a naval thread and I’m positng about ASB rates but I do so because ASB is 100% deterministic and predictable for RP gained over 15 minutes).
Lol, I forgot about that too. Yeah, lvl 100 really doesn’t mean much of anything. There are plenty of lvl 100’s who play like they don’t know what the heck they are doing 😂
Another topic where people don’t understand that the point of the game isn’t getting to top-tier and staying there, but to play vehicles that interest you at any BR that you like. Hence why lvl100s will be found at every BR.
And I can add… stop this non sense “lv100 on low BR”. There are plenty of reasons they are there and no one is others’ business. every one has been “seal clubbered” at the beginning and still are many LV100 (like me) by other more skilled LV100.
Then prevent total deadweight low level in high tier too to make it fair
Smurfing in a grinding game…
Yeah, banning people to play certain tiers just because they’re too experienced is an absurd idea.
Seal clubbing is easily dealt with by using SBMM.
Just no, how should i start a new tech tree? Or what if i want to play with a new player?
For example my gf recently started and i obv wanted to play with her. Do i seal club new players while doing so? Yes but at the end of the day thats just the nature of the game
Warthunder is a game where you cant rly use SBMM, as what if i spade a stock tank? i will obviously perform worse, come into worse lobbys and then when its spaded i will be seal clubbing again even if i don’t want to
100% agree, there should be like a limit to be at least lvl 30 to play higher then 10.0
My Gf and I probably gonna get banned for warcrime we commit against low tier in the last few day for that case
We do have them in Air SB at least.
Occasionally I see level 20s who bumrush Ki-84 or Spitfire Lf Mk IX or XP-55 or XP-50 or Pyörrimirski or whatever other especially powerful aircraft they can grab quickly and then play that aircraft solely over and over and immediately leave matches when you shoot them down.
Some CCs in the sim community also highly suspect/confirm these folks are basically K/D statpadders smurfing on new accounts.
ASB is not a game mode for new players though
Your account average is taken into consideration, not vehicle per vehicle one.
And then you’ll be put higher up where you won’t be able to seal club anymore.
no thank you, in certain brs or modes you already search a good minute for a match
