the issue isnt that f-18’s are super potent. the issue is that i get into a sim match that is up to 10v10, and out of those 20 players up to 16 can be PURELY f-18’s on both sides. with some flavor planes like migs and mirages here and there. the issue is the fact that the f-18 is just open to both forces and its disgusting. people like me, that fly the mirage, have only 4 missiles, 2 of which are 2km range for dogfights, having to conserve ammo, fly radar off to avoid super spam from 14 enemies and having to identify enemies during a dogfight is not something you should have to do in a simulator match. not when both sides have the same exact plane with same exact camoflages. its a big issue that both forces get f-18’s especially in 12.0-12.7 bracket, and even stronger in 12.0-13.0 bracket due to other more potent planes being present that you cant pick a fight with unless you deal with zombie f-18’s. its a clusterfuck and gaijin needs to limit f-18’s to one side per match.
I think the fa18s are fine, it’s just that theres so many of them. I have no trouble disposing them in a 1v1 in a red for plane like say a yak 141, but there’s not much you can do when you’re always being 2 to 5 v 1ed. ever since they added the german fa18, it’s been better, but the issue still remains, usually one side just gets super out numbered. it’s not that the fa18 is some uber OP plane at 12.7, it’s usually just the number of them

the Fulcrum’s fm is so shit, what are you talking about it being compatitive. Mirage 2000 is a fucking beast fm and magic 2, no wounder you arent facing any troubles, mig 29 has shit fm, shit radar, shir rwr, shit fox 2s, it only gets 2 good fox 1s but for those you actually first have to pick them up with your dogwater radar.

Basically when you pull hard in that initial turn it doesn’t convert that that turn into a lot of position, instead it kinda falls outta the air unlike other planes like say the f16 blk 10 or grippy, instead it kinda just falls outta the air. It’s sustained is pretty accurate

The best thing about the premium F-18C early is that you have a sparrow (aim-7p) that works similarly to the R-27 and you have up to 6 of them at 12.7. (Beware that sparrows are very buggy specifically on F-18s)
Launch them at 20-15km and unlock imediatly, the relock when missile is ± 5km away from hitting the target. Most of the time your target won’t even react.
The worst thing about the F-18C early or any other 12.7 is that it is very underwhelming against most things just 0.3 BR above it that have either IRCCM missiles, fox3, or both and you will see plenty of those, and often you will face 13.7, in that case you might as well J out.
You can still have a decent KDR if you play well in uptiers, but you need to rely on the enemy team being incompetent, and often you are just a free kill after evading a few missiles.

I think that you are completely right. The mig 29 is limited to a very weak rate with great acceleration. Once the high AOA fight begins it dumps a lot of speed and over 25 alpha you have to fight the plane. The mirage 2000s4/5 has 40 AOA available with irccm missiles that are guaranteed kills at rear aspect. Take a high perch merge pull to six rense and repeat.
The mig would be way more effective if it had r73. It would be a very good platform for shorts fights. I think that it should get r73 and r27er since it has to fight 13.0 often. It now has a lot of lend/lease nato planes to support it now so it could be over kill but i dont care. Make blue side sweat.

i agree below around 17-18 degrees aoa 29 retains speed quite nicely, above that it just loses speed super quickly and above 25 it falls out of the air
