Well, it can carry quite a lot of them: 6x 9L plus 4x 7P, or 2x 9L plus 6x7P is quite a load (compared to e.g. F-16 with 4x 9L and 2x 7M, or - even worse - M2K with 2x Magic 2’s and 2x Super 530’s, for example).
HUD is very good too, as is rest of cockpit (3 MFD’s), but that’s less important.
Haven’t used it a lot yet in Sim, and only very limited in A/A, but got downed by both MiG-29’s and M2K’s - less so because of any shortcomings of the F/A-18, but more my own poor judgement.
Yeah, 0 redfor premiums at that BR range, so you get all vs all F-18 matches at 12.7/13.0 and then all of redfor play 11.3/11.7 in the Mig-23ML, Su-39, WTD61, etc etc.

yeah…12.7 t0 13.3 is unplayable for red team, but gaijin doesnt seem interested in the issue at the moment. At 12.7 is especially laughable, you have to fly a mig29 with just 2 fox1 vs planes that carry 6 fox3 and the f18 that has the same armament of the su27 but is somehow 0.6 br lower.
Then when you go to top tier blue team get rekt 8/10 times because they’re so used to have the best planes that when the game is even they dont know how to play.
Result: you cant play red team at 12.7 to 13.3 because everyone quits, and you cant play blue team at top tier, because everyone quits.
the mirage isn’t nerfed in realistic nor in sim nor do they have any differences neither is the fulcrum and the hornet does not have any ultra special capabilities over these aircraft

He barely plays sims and has literally never played red side plane at 11.7-13.0.
I did F/A-18A stock grind and some F/A-18C matches.
They are a side grade of the F-16A MLU and should not continue to sit in 12.3/12.7 because there are no counterparts in its BR, except Yak-141, M2K.
MiG-29A is probably annoying in BVR because of R-27ERs, but in WVR they have almost no chance to win against the F/A-18s, unless hornet players are dumb and carry full bomb loadouts.
Also, I havent tried the hornet yet, but the yak141 and mig29 are inferior for sure. Both of them can only carry 2xr27er. F-18C has an armament comparable to a su27 (it carries multiple fox1 with datalink), but it sits way lower in br. I would say it’s also way better than f16 adf, because that plane only carries 4xaim9 and 2xaim7 without datalink and has a basic PD radar without tws.
Isn’t it possible to carry R-27ETs? I guess ETs are more better than R-27ER.
I somehow confused F-16A ADF with MLU, which has TWS mode.
Whatever, as I have so far only died due to my own carelessness (skill issue), the F/A-18A,C early need to move their BR one step each.
You can carry 2xR27ER/ET and 2xR27R/T. So if you choose to carry 2x ER you cannot also carry the ET. Personally, I run 2x ER and 2x T, because the tracking sensor of the R27 can only lock a target under 10 km more or less, so even if you take the ET you can still only fire them under 10km.
the mig-29 has pretty much the worst flight model at top tier, and is also missing its historical loadout
r-73 (just remove the r27er from the mig29 and give it the r-73)
ontop of that you never played any mig-29 and are talking about its maneuverability,
pls play a mig-29 and then we talk again
not on the 12.7 mig29 it only got the 27er but not the et so you would be stuck with the r-27t

there would be one easy fix for that (atleast on 13.0 days) put the su-27 down to 13.0

Judging by the current BRs of the other Flanker variants, it’s probably the best option, but honestly, I don’t know because have never played it before.
It is ridiculous that the J-11B shares the same BR as the J-11A, and even the original J-11 is only 0.3 BR apart from them. Like, whats the logic here?

Given how over compressed the 13.0 bracket already is. Moving even more things down really doesn’t do much. A 13.3 bracket is pretty much the only.option and with that. Several 13.0s can return to 13.3
