Premium Aircraft, Particularly Jets, Change the BR of a plane you have bought. Really?

I have been playing for 12 years and so I will say I get bored with my planes every so often, because they have been changed negatively, moved to a different BR, or just want to fly a prop instead of a Jet. That being said, I sometimes buy a Premium Aircraft because, I have most of the planes already, or I see a plane I really like. After carefully evaluating the plane, how it does, how it looks playing AGAINST it, I will then decide to buy it for $70.00 or so. But here lately, several of the planes I carefully evaluated have had their game mechanics changed or moved up in BR, rendering it in some cases a BAD BUY, a WORSE BUY. What does the community think about the purchase of a Premium Aircraft, and then have its whole dynamic changed after you have bought and paid for a particular plane? Does this border on Fraud to you? When you buy a car for instance, does the auto manufacturer come along and downgrade its electronics or worsen its performace? Take the Persian Tomcat, people bought that at a certain BR, at it wasnt really OP, it was just that inexperienced players at that BR are flying into 18g pull Phoenix/Fakours because they are not looking at their RWR or have the faintest clue how to notch. That being said, it was a plane that was bought at BR12.3. and now faces fox 3s, with probably the worst RWR in its rating now. Should a plane that was paid for as a prem, or off the Marketplace be changed in its BR? I cant even think of the proper word that borders on when it come to BUSINESS ETHICS. This not a skill discussion mates, this is a Gaijin business practice discussion and concerns every person who buys a golden eagle, a prem vehicle, or a silver lion to modify even a non-prem vehicle. You have bought a product, and had it downgraded by the people you bought it off of, where else does this happen in the business world?

I can think of one term, but the FBI, Interpol, or other organizations are usually looking for them.

Imho it is extremely difficult to find a high price premium which was not somehow “changed” after a while.

Technically seen you gave your consent to such changes by accepting the ToS whilst you opened an account.

Premium vehicles should be about an economy boost or skipping the grind. Not about being P2W. If a Premium is overperforming, then its BR should increase (Likewise if its underperforming its BR should go down)

also, just because its premium, doesnt mean it shouldnt be corrected if new information is found for it or if the game allows for new things to modeled or modeled in a better way. That goes both for buffs and nerfs. Take the Tornado WTD61, it went from 56 CMs to 56 flares and 640 chaff to I think 1200 chaff in the coming update. Should it remain at 56 CMs because that was the state it was in when purchased? No, And you cant just take the buffs, and not the nerfs.

Now there are certainly examples of Premiums that need TLC. Like the Harrier Gr1 really needs an SRAAM overhaul and a few other tweaks/buffs. But I dont think it should be OP just because I spent money on it

You know prior to purchase that OP vehicles will move up if they are discovered to be OP by the devs.
F-14A Iran was OP, F-14A standard was not.

I like your thoughtful answer. What I am wondering is that if a BR of a plane, premium or otherwise, is changed, should it not be placed into a BR category where it is on even keel with its previous BR? You know, people even despite a Premium Aircraft, will skip over planes on the way to something they might like better, however, you have a lot of people who like a particular aircraft, spend GEs on it to fully modify it, and then all of the sudden, one month later, it is a different plane altogether. I understand different planes are introduced into the game, and every so often the BRs MUST change, however, the changes in themselves seem too drastic. I have to wonder if the people actually making the decisions on these BR changes actually fly the planes in game? Lets take for instance, my USSR Mig 29. Not more than 4 months ago, and before, its radar pretty much locked on everything, NOW?,…compared to before it is kind of laughable. So Im in battle in Mig29, say for instance, at 12.7 Air RB, Ive fired my r27ers, and now Im left with some IR missiles that planes back in BR11 have, flying against BR 13.7 jets with fox 3s, aim9ms, etc… name the varients of the different countries missiles. But the point is a lot of people with prems, have spent GEs to modify planes that seemingly change from month to month. You know, the goal of a successful business is to provide a “consistent” product that its consumer can count on. Where is this game heading I wonder? I have a couple of planes I still want but I can tell you, I guess I will have to painfully stock grind rather than opening my wallet anymore, and Ive spent some money on this game, my hobby. I am Old Guard in Aircraft, we all used to say, “Play with honor mates” in battle, but of course that was in Beta. Where is the Honor, and consistency going mate? Thank you for taking the time to respond with your thoughtful answer. Its not about OP, its about consistency across the board. Do you know how many times in BR12.7 on up, people comment in battle chat about What is going on here?, and I will stop right there.

Personally, yes, Persian Tomcat was a strong plane, but OP, thats questionable. Would you believe it when I say if I flew 500 times against the Tomcat family, Persians included, I only died to a Fakour/Phoenix maybe 5 times?, Its because I had experience against fox3s, and when my RWR went off, I knew to turn a little to notch a missile that only has a 18g pull-a little more than an Aim9B. I never died to a Phoenix/Fakour until I obtained both US Tomcats, F14a early and Persian and I died because their RWRs are absolutely horrendous. But it only took me four or five times because I learned to get out of the way quickly. And so all these players that complained about Persian, say for instance, how are they to learn how to avoid fox 3s, if they cant even evade a simple Phoenix. Was the Persian OP, not really, I used to hunt Tomcats in my Mig29 and Mirage 2000. So what is the definition of OP? Players complaining about it, players with prob very little experience. Players who are not going to spend money anymore? There will always be good and bad planes in a BR, strong and weak, but when a plane changes BR it should be about on an even keel. I want to see someone take a US F16A with its six aim9ls, into battle 100 times, most of the time running into planes with fox 3s and top notch IR missiles and see what their success rate is. For example, most of the hot pilots you see on YouTube that rate WT planes, they DETEST this plane. People are wondering what is going on.

But sir, isnt that the key word you just used there I just saw, “Economy Boost”, ECONOMY is really the key word isnt it? No, it wasnt a money thing to me, I just bought the plane because I liked it, money and ECONOMY had nothing to do with it. Its the ECONOMY BOOST perspective that is ruining the quality of this game…Its just becoming another game, whereas it used to be a game that endorsed QUALITY, oh well, maybe graphics and whatever else is thrown in is what you all want now, I wish I had a PC powerful enough to play DCS, but I will settle for this for now, but I once settled for Atari Frogger as well

It is an unserious company, next time think twice before buying anything.

War thunder has grown out of control and is incoherent. They don’t know how to handle it.

They have ruined several premiun ones for me, so I won’t buy any from them again. That’s the only form of complaint they understand.

What can you expect from a game where you are allowed to leave the game after using only one vehicle.
That they sell you access to the end of the game …

They are lucky to be unique in their genre.

They know it’s OP when it comes out , really …

You are totally right and I am on the same page, you know what it boils down too…If I buy a cheeseburger from McDonalds, say for instance in Los Angeles CL, its going to taste a certain way. If I buy a cheeseburger from McDonalds in somewhere Georgia USA three weeks later, all the way across the country its going to taste the same way, because they have Standards of Quality. If I take three weeks off from this game, and hop in the same plane, the plane is totally different. Thats the difference between, say, McDonalds and Gaijin. Consistency and quality, good point mate. I will never spend another cent on this game, and I have spent a lot over the last 12 years, my hobby is about to shift sorry to to say, WarThunder was a good thing while it lasted, but something has happened here over the last year and a half. Do you know every time I go to make a purchase here lately I have to call my bank because they have red flagged this company, I do not have this problem with any other online purchase. Good Luck dude, I will be surprised if I log in here in the near future and not allowed to play anymore.

I recently watched a video on YouTube from one of these 12 , 000 flyouts and 60,000 airkill pilots, he straight out said that Gaijin throws in that frustration factor and makes you pull out your wallet to buy the “next best plane”, its factored into their process, I am beginning to see this is a total fact.

Economy was never a factor in me buying any plane, I just bought the plane because I liked it, thats the problem behind this whole scene, ECONOMY, that is EXACTLY what Im talking about.

Persian Tomcat, it was never OP to me, I can tell you, I used to enjoy hunting them.

Personal experience is not to be attributed to if a vehicle is good.
I’ve never died to an AIM-54, and once to F-90 due to poor route planning.
That does not make the vehicle unusable because I have to compare the F-14A Iran to all other 12.3s in the game, for which it’s superior to all.

Frustration caused by players is not Gaijin’s fault.

@aLiVe
Good to know you hate gaming as a whole.
Keep hating generous serious companies, keep wasting money on companies that poison you instead.
Zero premiums in War Thunder are unplayable, zero.

And no, Gaijin are not god as you falsely claim.

War Thunder is not unique, and has competition.
“But that competition is worse.” Then it’s working.

It is in the rules that specifics and level of every vehicle can be changed at any given moment to maintain technical accuracy and balance. You agreed to that by making a purchase. Now you can only blame yourself for it.

Yes this is a very generous company, so generous in fact that every time I go to make a purchase with this generous company my transaction is declined because it is on the list of suspect businesses, and I have to call my bank and tell them its not a fraudulent purchase, Generous indeed because it is not a phone call I will make anymore. Wow, am still curious are you a Gaijin employee? You have never answered that question.

I will not blame myself for any purchase in this game ever again, I will not also blame myself for getting banned from this game, by initiating an investigation of this game with the proper international authorities. If that be the case then so be it.

Do you know that every time I go to make a purchase from this company my transaction is initially declined? I have to call my bank and tell them I want to make this purchase, and they explain to me that this company is on a “redlist”. Did you know that? Did you know that several times I have went to make a purchase with Gaijin and My Norton anti security alert went off…I reached the point where it will not go off again, whatever happens happens,

Perhaps Persian Tomcats are superior to you as a pilot at BR12.3, but they never were to me
