For 80 euros I will take whole Aircraft carrier with 30 planes and put like few rank 7 tanks, heli and boat…And wrap it up
The issue with the viggens are that the devs skipped over a version bc of false info, so every viggen in game is essentially a name ahead of the loadout its got
The JA37(A) 1987 had 74s, 71s, 24Js and Bol/Boy
The Ja37C had the exact same thing but with the addition of RB71B (RB71B was introduced before Ja37C designation came about in 1993)
The Ja37D had all that but with the addition of RB99
The Ja37Di had all that but with the edition of the english language and one snazzy MFD
The skipping over the Ja37(A) was, imo, not the devs fault as the player base kind of forced them to as they were under the presumption that the C got the countermeasures in an upgrade
The Ja37A designation is also made up, i just used it to differentiate better
Although its too late a better tech tree would be putting everything back a name and the Di being the premium with the TT Di being just the D
The Ja37D in game would be the C
And the C in game would be the 80s version or A if you will
This way it’d be a lot more historical and as the Di makes no difference to gameplay its fine as a premium
That’s just another level of being lazy, 3 copy-paste vehicles for at least 60€ xD Well at least higher ranks will be filled with lvl 10 RP pinatas for the next few weeks.
Well, the AV-8S is gonna be the second ever strike plane in the japanese tree, so it’s kinda special.
Anyways, this is a lot better than them adding more stuff like the A-6E as premium-only vehicles
Still no screenshot?
As much as I want the JA 37Di F21, I am not going to pay 80 EUR for the sentimental value of that aircraft.
They also said “We will never be adding jets” many moons ago too… Thats when we learned to never take them at their word
We, should learn to fight back through organized community responses and actions OR this will only be getting worse and worse:
- with testing our financial upper limits
- gameplay/entertaining solid joy bottom limits
- (not even mentioning technical surface of the project)
Prices for Premiums were always scaled over ranks. That the highest one will sell for higher prices is (for me at least) not only understandable, but also acceptable. Why should a Viggen at 13.0 not sell for more than a Fitter at 11.0, which sells for more than a Harrier at 9.7?
If one wants to purchase an item is always a question of priorities and capability, and driving the market. If a product is deemed too expensive, less people will buy it. Simple.
Note also that the “overpriced” item people complain about will have a tech tree variant, so I even less understand the outrage I observe on this topic. One can’t even claim “Pay2Win” here, which of course would be quite a different discussion.
That said, I purchased the Viggen, because I tested it and liked it, because I was always fascinated by the aircraft, and because I am fortunate enough right now to be able to afford it (a year ago I would not have been in that luxurious position). I wanted it enough so I decided to buy it.
I don’t buy the Fitter, because I have a tech tree variant (well, Squadron vehicle actually) that I enjoy very much already, and because I don’t need it anymore to progress in the German line, and have little emotional attachment to the aircraft. I don’t want it enough, so I didn’t buy it.
My man 80 euros is price of full Tripple A game and this plane is not worthy that much, its not unique since you have same one in tech tree, not special, not even OP, nothing… If it was some uniqe plane, uniqe camo, uniqe in any way shape or form then maybe 50 euros would be like top price. Like this its not worthy.
Ok, so you deemed it not something you want to pay that money for. That’s perfectly fair.
So? Why get upset about it? Nobody forces anyone to buy it or thinks less of them because they don’t want to buy it.
My man only reason I say this is because I want this game to last, want more players and better game…
Also Im not upset Im just being real… But also I belive I have a right to give my opinion without being called angry or “if you aint gonna buy it why hate”… right?
This will just make a lot of people leave the game, because they will continue to do this and its laughable mid plane is 80 euros, be realistic
It is unique in the sense that it is a premium variant of the Viggen and it does have a unique paintjob.
If you don’t think a premium Viggen with the specs on offer is worth your money then don’t buy it. Believe it or not, a lot of people will be buying it, just like a lot of people bought the F-4J(UK), F-4EJ ADTW, F-104S TAF, etc. despite them not being anything special.
No problems everyone is entitled to do whatever with their money and Im all for that. I never said people should not buy it I just said IMPO its not worthy 80 euros.
Plot: Let me explain - there should not be this fast growing prices coz there should not be this high tier vehicles being selling, at all, completely.
Question: Why monetization strategy shifted FROM “we won’t sell top tier experience” TO “here is your (maybe first) top tier premium with best AMRAAM AIM-120
for $$$”?
Answer: Game design impotence, technical stagnation, poor research¤cy economy.
Deeper answer: This game cannot generate sufficient income from:
- underperforming Premium account, that is outdated and insufficient to progress through…
- skyscraping Tech Trees with this…
- many Tiers that are locked by requirement to purchase this many vehicles, with…
- insane total amount of resources (RP+SL = time) to grind
…and here is the consequences:
- poor gameplay and balance in all presented game modes, that makes
- mentioned grind process - unbearable and mood consuming, as result
- ppl just leave this game before reaching those high ranks
UPD: updating nothing. Somebody just flagged this post (flagging system is good is great).
So how Gaijin responds to the game having core issues? - By giving ability to money skip those issues, right into the “top tier experience”. Ta-Daaaaaa.
“Top Tier experience” being on sell is a bad sign, for gameplay and general WT experience.
It started from:
- F-20 Tigershark (and other pre-top premiums) being put on the last rank, then continued with
- Squadron JF-17 jet with AMRAAMs that can be purchased with GE, now we about to get
- AIM-120 from Gaijin.net Store, next vehicles we going to see purchasable
- (assumption) Unique (as result - not so balanced) Top Tier vehicles.
Ever since they started adding modern vehicles they were also going to start adding premium versions of those at some point. Despite this game having a huge selection of vehicles of multiple eras, most people seem to only care about the modern era and as a company that has to generate some income Gaijin naturally went for the most obvious option: selling modern era vehicles.
There just are too many players that flat out don’t want to bother with older vehicles for Gaijin not to sell a shortcut to the modern vehicles people want to play and the prices reflect that. You’d expect nobody in their right mind would buy something like the Tornado WTD, yet loads of people bought it.
i mean you kinda have to evolve your game if you dont want to end up like World of Tanks with tons of paper vehicles and right out fictional stuff. and maybe at that time they simply didnt think the game would get that far
What is wrong about that? If you want pure realism and historical accuracy, then just enlist.
All realism chasers are bound to die in some war in Europe at the end
