Pre-order: Leopard 2A4M CAN

Name another vehicle in any major nation tree that uses another major nation’s voice lines. I’ll wait.

Phong Kong 34,Type 62,Merkavas. And i am sure i can find some more.

So… only vehicles that existed in a tree before that nation’s tree was split off in game?

Hey, if I’m wrong I’m wrong, but I think people can still be legitimately concerned that putting a new vehicle in the German tree now won’t come with English-language crew voicing. There’s already one German Canadian Leopard now that doesn’t have it, after all.

What reason would they have not to give it English lines?

Never gave them to the Leopard C2A1.

Doesn’t mean they can’t change it. They have been slowly fixing that with things like Argentina and Poland. Seems like the perfect time to update the Canadian voices.

Also I don’t think there is really many examples of vehicles in major nations that should have other major nation voices. Canadian Leo’s are the only ones that come to mind for me.

Honestly, to sell people an $90 CDN premium without that much consideration (and fix the C2A1 while they are at it) would seem kinda insulting, I think anyway.

Exactly, that’s why I think there’s a little justification for Canadian players being a little annoyed here, as you’re right, they ARE the only ones who have to deal with this*, just like they’re the only country split across three trees at present. Just asking that people keep that in mind. C2A1 has been in the game with German voice lines for two years now, as @AlvisWisla helpfully pointed out.

It will come, sooner or later. TAM 2 IP had also German voices until like last major when it got argentinian ones.

Finland, Turkey [M60AMBT], Australia, Israel [Merkava Mk1, 2, 3 in USA]… need I continue?

what are those things on the top sides of the hull above the tracks…rocks or trackpads?? I say rocks to stop the matts from bellowing… But… a tanker says they are trackpads.

i mean, to me looksm like you are right, looks like rocks

So have the Tams and pl but recently they have been Changed so there is also reason to believe they will change these too as they should.

this picture is clearer, honeslty i cant tell exactly

Sandbags? Kinda looks like the sand bags I saw during the 2013 flood we had.

Major nation (ie, a nation with a tree of its own) in another major nation. Please try to read more carefully next time?

The only examples people gave of a nation having vehicles with the main language for a different tree are vehicles that existed before their nation did and were grandfathered in when the new nation rolled out (China from Russia and Israel in US). Which would be zero effort for a vehicle now in two trees.

Since you mention it, there are no Australian voice lines. The Australian vehicle in the American tree gets British voice lines. Which is fine for what it is, I guess. But the two Canadian vehicles in that same tree get… of course… American voice lines (same as British voice lines in the British tree and German lines in the German tree).

Sandbags or Rocks.

I am starting to see rocks. but they also look like bags of some sort.

@v_lkyrie has pointed out those things we couldn’t figure out are a cover for the connection points on the composite site armour or the velcro.

You could always give Canada some of those weird Quebecian French lines and call it a day, it’d be the same as Aussie crews having British voices in the TT tbh

Not saying that I want that or anything but it is an option.

By this logic Germany shouldn’t have any of said vehicles as they are either joint projects or just not made with any German help:

If by your logic Britain shouldn’t have the CAN because its “German made” you wouldn’t even have anything past WWII. Please dont act like the German tree doesnt use foreign vehicles, as that is 100% false.
