I beg of you, PLEASE revise or at least reconsider taking another look at specifically the F-14D’s possible air-to-air armament options before the release of the ‘Heavy Cavalry’ Major Update.
In its current state, as showcased. With the same loadout as the F-14B. Has indirectly made alot of players angry, confused and disappointed about this. It will only continue to worsen if not resolved with an alternative change.
The F-14B’s current battle rating at 13.0 has many already predicting that the F-14D (even with its upgraded APG-71 radar + IRST) will not perform very well in both statistics and overall performance if it’s placed at an even slight higher BR, especially against jets that are equipped with full ARH and IRCCM missiles.
It’s not that the F-14D is a premium only, it’s that the F-14D is a premium without even really being an F-14D ‘Super’ Tomcat.

Years waiting for the final variant of the Tomcat and not only is it crippled to not carry it’s actual loadout it’s also premium only without a tech tree variant?

You wait YEARS for the F-14D and then you don’t even get a decent armament!
If the F-14D were Russian, it would probably have 12 AIM-120Ds at 12.7 BR LMAO. But the SU-30s can carry FOX-3 at 13.3, and we don’t even get AIM-7P/AIM-9M at 13.0.
Just more Russian BIAS in the game

F-14D will literally just be a pheonix-spamming shit box for KD farmers, no different from the F-14B.
Unless it gets some loadout improvements there’s no point buying the F-14D

On spaa only. And its modelled like 9m with thrust vector I think. No super duper modern tech.

yeah, IIR isn’t modelled yet so that is basically a stopgap as far as im aware (not a gaijin dev)
and DL i think was added during its dev server release, it was Blk1 → Blk2?
Either way the F-14s weren’t cleared for 9X so I don’t think its a possibility anyways

Python 5, RB-98, IRIS-T SL, AIM-9X, FB-10/A get the same IRCCM. The other ones like stingers have a lot weaker FOV clamp (1.25 on stingers vs 0.25 on 9X/IRIS-T)
