Exactly, no one would care if it was added back then, but if gaijin did this today, to be quite honest, an entire player base would attack and companies everywhere would become news on the internet, they would be sabotaging the very game they love to play for political reasons, it’s simply impressive we just want cool vehicles in the game, and not for it to turn into a circus because a bunch of people started acting wildly.

I really wanted to see the OBJ195 in the game, more cool vehicles, prototypes etc, the last update that really had a big focus on the ground was in 2023, and I won’t deny that I’m getting tired of playing with the same things

What USSR desperately needs are tanks with bustle autoloaders, gearboxes with reverse gears and more T-64 variants in general (especially the one with zaslin aps)

even ignoring the obvious political issue, the soviet tt doesn’t really need any kind of subtree since the soviets made so many goddamn vehicles that there is always something to plug a hole in the tech tree

I can see why people would disagree with this. Frankly, I think Ukraine should be kept as far away from the Russian tree as possible with one exception:
Modernised T64s are cool, and playing them alongside the T64 already in the Russian tree would be neat.
No, it’s to political and you know how people love to bring up politics in games.
We certainly dont need this because it would be completely unbalanced.
Black Eagle would be much better option.
Personally, I’m okay with adding Ukraine to the USSR tree. Kharkiv plant was a huge part in the union after all.
I’m sure that a good number of players against this are looking for a way to have Ukrainian vehicles very possibly go against Russian vehicles in matchmaking and understandably so. Not against seperating the two either. The possibility of an Eastern Europe TT with Poland, Czechoslovakia perhaps Ukraine… USSR tree still has the other former SSRs to take vehicles from on top of their own abundant list.
I will have to agree, though, that apart from late soviet prototypes from Kharkiv… The Russian SSR and it’s successor state has plenty of additions still available to be implemented and doesn’t need to yoink vehicles from post-collapse Ukraine. Kubinka itself might have 1-2 subtree’s worth.
Sum it all up. Makes sense if they do. Makes sense if they ended up not.
PS: Just get me my Obj 640 and Obj 195.
