If Russia wants a subtree, it can have Iran. You’ve got indigenous designs, wacky M60 modifications, and a chieftain with a different gearbox. You’ve got fv101 scorpions, something called the sayyad that looks like a weisel MLRS, an extensively modernised btr-50 with a 30mm, the cascavel, and an anti air called the “pirooz”
Iran would give some much needed variety to Russia, Ukraine would give more of the same, and also cause a massive argument, basically making it more trouble than it could ever possibly be worth.

It comes from a questionable leak that has got much wrong and some right, Poland in the leak basically houses much of Eastern Europe including Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. I don’t think it’s going to happen.

Just a big fat no from me. My only issue is that the USSR doesn’t need a subtree, maybe getting the occasional event vehicle or premium would be fine, but other than that, i see no reason for ukraine (or any sub really) to be added to the USSR.

I don’t see how it would work, many are against this tree encompassing more Ukrainian vehicles because “it would have too much” then goes to talk about ideas like the Eastern European tech tree.
It really starts to sound like a political statement or they’re unaware of what they’re asking for at that point.

That’s fair, the only real thing separating the BM from the BM2 is a thermal imager, slat armor on the turret and rear next to the engine.
Other minor differences such as raised engine deck.
