The M901 turret allows it to peak without exposing the hull and it gets multiple reloads and you think the XM800 tow launcher should be a full 1.0 higher just because its faster
but is it really a whole BR worth of that though?
have you ever test driven the M901? you will understand just from how long it takes for the missile to be ready after a stop
outside of pretty rare situations where you’re camping one spot for a long time this is a useless feature
its not just faster, its the fastest tracked vehicle in game by a significant amount, easily keeping up with fox which is gold standard for this genre of vehicle, in urban areas its faster than any wheeled vehicle because of the turn radius too.
a whole BR higher makes sense for the speed and versatility from the mobility and small stature
Its speed doesnt matter at all, it needs to stay exposed the whole time the missile is traveling and while thats happening a single shot from a .50 can kill one of its 2 crew. Firing ATGMs from behind cover is a much bigger advantage than you make it out to be

getting to strong ambush, spotting and flank positions as fast as possible matters a HUGE amount. if you haven’t had this revalation yet idk how you play speedy lights or missile carriers if you do at all
only your sight needs to be, so you can have a very small silhouette to track the missile
if your crew dies to one .50 cal you need to up your vitality level, they can tank 20mm at times with good crewscores. if you’re being shot at by a .50 cal unless you’re being crazy aggro you’ve done something unintentionally wrong.
I know, I play missile carriers a lot as of late.
XM800T (TOW) would not need much terrain to be sufficiently concealed, small rocks would work. and a set of bushes will fully cover such a small thing.
It cannot fire from cover, full stop. It has to have at least one of its 2 crew exposed which is a massive detriment. I don’t see this thing being better than the bradley in any way so 8.3 is a reasonable tier for it, 8.7 at most
You realise how little of this thing would be exposed right?? such a tiny part exposed is sufficient cover, in fact its considerably less exposed than all but one of my missile carriers because its sight is on a periscope (swingfire on bulldog hull).
Sorry it wont be undetectable if you shoot at the guy already staring at you. Flank, spot, shove a missile in your enemies ass or side

if you learn maps you would know this isn’t the case for most common maps. or you’re playing the wrong spots of these maps for the vehicle type. cant be holding W and praising the snail and expecting a nuke.
So is it a rare situation or not? You claim the m901 exposing no crew is useless and in the same breath claim that the XM800 exposing half its crew is OP

an advantage you will almost NEVER be able to utilise.
Ive only witnessed this ability working out once in the almost 3 years of playing this game, never seen a M901 on the winning side of a killfeed since
some rocks near B point on Vietnam I was in a centurion mk3 on 2 crew and didn’t know what the hell the thing that just ran behind the rocks was so took a while before moving and then ate a missile. It only worked as I didn’t know what I was going to approach.
That one spot which under 80% of situations is worthless, just a hinderance in moving from a spawn to the cap was useful for once. Twas but a fluke, meanwhile something low down of the size of a XM800T has killed me from a good rat spot about as often as most other of my deaths.
And now we are back to my original point, ammo capacity. It gets 4 missile AT MOST (more likely just 2) even with an ammo crate it wont be able to rat in the same way as the autocannon version
ok thats 4 frags before going to a point to reload because you assisted your team in clearing the way to a point because you’re a good teammate and didn’t just go spawncamp like most players who are magnetised to such vehicles do.
still very fair, wont take long to run back to reload seeing as its the fastest tracked vehicle in game.
by the time you’ve used all of them up the battle will usually have moved about so you needed to change position anyway.
Bear in mine the Wiesel which is a literal tankette carries 8 missiles and that has less space to work with so the ammo count will likely be balanced to carry similar. and not fox milan amounts
Don’t compare a jerryrigged prototype to the wiesel. And 4 kills is assuming that every hit is a one shot which is pretty difficult with original TOWs
yeah i know M901 takes forever, but XM800 counter is just M2HB, DSHK, or NVST. Not to mention any auto cannon or plain gun
Realistically, it’s only gonna be half as many kills due to how inconsistent TOWs are. The chances of making to to a capture point are already quite slim, but doing so, and rearming, then returning to the battlefield in a reasonable amount of time isn’t realistic.
