It’s not the mig29a. Its every 12.7 that gets uptiered. Don’t be biased and think only the mig29 suffers in uptiers. If anything is one of the 12.7 that handles uptiers better than most.
Who wouldn’t? R-73 is a huge upgrade. Even an hypothetical Mig-23 with R-73 would be too strong for 12.7
The F-14A has one of the worst radars for the BR. And the phoenix is incredibly easy to avoid, especially for any 12.7.

Actually, it matters a lot because its SARHS are increadibly easy to notch because of the high prf radar, just like the F-14a. At least the m2k has 2 OP IR missiles for the BR
almost like theres more to the vehicle, and notching is the least likely reason for my 530d to fail of the possibilities in any given arb match.

So you have essentially the same results with both, and one is great and the other mediocre? Every other 12.7 you have is lower. Which means that you have the best results with those two at 12.7, which makes sense because they are both one of the best ones for the BR.

It’s clearly representative of your experience with it. Your other 12.7s like the F-16AJ of F-14A have considerably worse results.

Currently it is, it underperform, worst 12.7 honestly, it was cool when it was the meta, the last aircraft on the tech tree, even with the huge nerf when released, now is just… terrible and it is been years and nothing has been made by GAIJIN to enhance it or balance it.

I only started playing the mig29 way past its introduction, maybe a few months after it got added to germany. Its still very competent at its BR. The issue with uptiers affects all of them
I’ve seen people call out the bad FM of the MiG 29 multiple times, is there room for it to be more maneuverable? Wasn’t it supposed to at least put up a fight against F16 in a dog fight?
Anyways, MiG 29 is pretty mediocre but nothing can be done to save it without making it op:
-If they add R73 and replace 27ER with 27R it would still be mediocre because it’s not maneuverable enough to take advantage of R73; at that point I’d much rather be in a 21 Bison lol.
-if they add R73 and don’t change 27ER, it now has the same loadout as 29G at a lower BR and would essentially have a mini 13.0 loadout.
There’s not much that can be done to save it due to it’s awful bus-like handling, and no decompression will make it not see SU27 or SU33, which are 2-3 times better.
