As someone once said, “guy declares himself winner and defecates on the floor”
You entirely fail to see that compression and decompression happen step by step, not just wishing for 15.0 as a second option.
Congrats on your spreadsheets though, I guess.
Me when the missile that was designed for the plane in question isn’t added for it, and Gaijin instead adds a missile it never was supposed to have for it instead – thus creating a bigger issue than it would’ve ever had if they just gave it the missile it was supposed to have.
Then they go ahead and nerf the flight-model for it anyway because we can’t have it beating F-16s in a gun fight, because John_A10_Fan bombed his way to top tier in his F-4S and doesn’t understand the basics of dogfighting.
And when they finally give a variant of the plane it’s intended missile, it’s already been power-crept into oblivion and the airframe it is on is even worse than the 9-13 because of how fat it is.
Oh, and let’s make sure we put this one at 13.3 and give Germany a version at 13.0 that gets the R-73 and a better flight model because something something Germany suffers…
IMO We need 1 or 2 more BR space at 12.7/13.0 because it may be cracked if 12.7 MiGs gets R-73.
If that BR has some spaces, they can gets R-73s and can puts at those with some other aircrafts, such as M2K C-S5.
I would like to see some aircrafts more better loadouts like MiG-29s, F-16A Block 10/Block 15 ADF, MiG-21bison, JA37DI, F/A-18C Early etc but, not possible at current meta.
It’s not exactly like this.
They could have another 9-12 instead of 9-13 , because the differences were the bigger fuel tank and the jammer which is not in the game anyway.
Then they could give 9-12S, which can have ER (and possibly R-77).
Then they could give MiG 29SMT and after it MiG 29M .
And the MiG 29 variants will be complete.
Or even…skip the SMT, make it event or squad or premium whatever.
But instead they chose not to fix R-27R , which back there was crap
…introduce R-27ER that it didn’t have, for balance purposes (it actually made balance worse) ,
not give R-73 which it had (not that the planes they introduced in the patch couldn’t bring AIM-9M as a counterpart, they would have to decompress and they didn’t want to…because they never want to)…
and then some patches after fix R-27R which slower but more maneuverable and has IOG vs 7F/M (so is equivalent - not the same).
They did all that instead of …decompress 1 stage, fix R-27R and give it R-73 and AIM-9M as a counterpart (while also they had Magic 2 in the game). If they were too strong , they could artificially nerf them for a patch or 2 (i don’t like it, they always do it though if they are not sure how it will go).
But i think it was mostly the cries about F-14 and AIM-54 that brought the 27ER , another the thing that could have avoided if they didn’t give AIM-54 on release and wait for the right time , without even the need to have them overnerfed.
The worst part is… they didn’t revert, they didn’t fix and they didn’t change anything afterwards.
The whole way of thinking is wrong. They try to fix one mistake by making another.
A Mig-29 with only 2 R-60s and nothing else would probably be overtiered at 11.3. Sure it’s fast, but only for 5 minutes if it starts with max fuel. Sure it’s maneuverable, but it’s not an entire 1.0 BRs better than a Mig-21bis while having a worse loadout.
The J-7E would unironically be better than a Mig-29 in that config. Even with 6 R-60s I couldn’t see it being higher than 11.7. And with R-27Rs and R-60s, it would be fine at 12.0.
It still slaps the living hell out of any 11.7/12.0 with ease. If a Mig-29 with 4x R-60M and 2x R-27ERs goes to 12.0 then the Tornado F3 needs to go down to 11.3. Simple as.
They either have R-60Ms and R-27ERs or they have their IRL loadout of R-73s and R-27Rs
If it had both, it would be 13.0 alongside the Mig-29G.
and it could not under any circumstances go to even 12.3 with 4x R-73 and 2x R-27R as thats the same BR as things like the Tornado Gr4 (2x Aim-9M), Mirage 2KD (2x Magic II) and Mirage 2K CS-4 (2x Magic II + 2x R530) 12.7 would be pushing it for the Mig-29 with that loadout. It is still a very capable platform either way
They’ve also undone a lot of BR decompression they’ve done by moving some planes down in BR when it wasn’t needed (Mig-15/F-86A, Mig-21MF/SMT, J35XS, or the F-104A/Mig-19s).
It’s also pretty awful when 16.0 is very achievable if you decompress all the way down to 7.0.
You can easily get an extra 0.7 out of 12.3-14.0, an 0.3 out of 11.0-12.0, 0.7 out of 9.0-10.7, and an extra 0.3 out of 7.0-8.7.
Example with the Mig-15/17 series
For this, the Mig-15 will start at 8.7 to allow for a slight bit of decompression of 7.0-8.0.
Mig-15 - 8.7
Mig-15bis - 9.0
Mig-17 - 9.3
Mig-17AS/PF - 9.7
Shenyang F-5 - 10.0
This is uncompressed, and instead of 8.0-9.3, it’s 8.7-10.0. All of those planes are better than the previous, and there are no arguments for them to be at the same BR.
Because they objectively won’t be 13.3 if gaijin splits 13.0 into 2 groups (the better and worse groups). The Mig-29G is objectively worse than the Su-27, and it’s BR must reflect that. Gaijin would need to add atleast 0.7 for them to be balanced properly with R-73s/R-27Rs.
part of the problem is that the early mig-29’s should not have the r27er but instead the r73 and the r73 is a much better missile for a light fighter than the r-27er
