[Poll] with multiple options for the changes to Naval Battles

Their API and little bit of JS

I guess a lot of us are going to have to be patient and insistent in return! Like continuing to discuss and inform about our dissatisfaction in this forum, while ignoring be gaslit into believing there is no actual issue, or that new Naval Arcade Aiming isn’t absolute garbage.

Spoiler: It is.

I would be very careful in judging things this way. If you use the same method and select Fleet Realistic battles, you will get only 157 battles. Considering these are replays from the last 2 weeks, it gives us… 11 battles per day! Do you think Naval Realistic had at average 11 battles per day in the last 2 weeks?

@Bruce_R1 showed the number of players based on StatShark data from March 14:

Hornet’s Sting: Improvements and New Features! - #40 by Bruce_R1

I checked this website, and I don’t think they show the total number of players directly anywhere. But I suspect Bruce took Win Rate stats from this section and then added up the number of players in the different game modes. If I’m wrong and there is an easier way to do this, please correct me.

You have to remember this aiming change is still new, so we will have to wait a few months before we get more accurate stats. Looking at the total number of players may also not be the best method, because if I play 1 battle during the month I will also be counted as a “Naval player”, even if I only joined one battle to complete one challenge/task.

Maybe it would make more sense to look at the vehicle stats, how many battles were played in specific (popular) vessels in a given month. But we will have to wait for May and June statistics. And that’s also not a perfect method, because players can play specific vessel more or less in different months. I wish StatShark showed the total number of battles in different game modes by month, but unfortunately I don’t see such stats anywhere.

Maybe cause something went wrong with NRB replays an there really not many of them.

so why dose gaijin use AI bots to autofill navle air and ground battles? dont they already have enough bot accounts

finally bugs are accepted, don’t know what helped .clogs attachment or pm to the lead of bugtracker manager.

A lot of the naval get caught in “newbie battles”, it’s a known bug, you need to poll both.

quite a bit off topic, but Arcade guys, did CAS on naval arcade got weakened after aiming change? If so, I maybe can change decompression suggestion for ‘only realistic’ to ‘naval’

It was working like that before they changed the replay website. All the battles that included at least 1 AI bot went into the Novice battles section. But after replay website change, try to do this for Fleet Realistic battles and you will get 0 Novice battles played for some reason.

There is definitely something wrong here, and I wouldn’t trust this way of judging things. There are battles missing and we don’t know why they are missing and how many of them in each period. And since you don’t get accurate data, comparing this data doesn’t make much sense.

From what I saw yesterday, StatShark will very soon release the new site version and add plenty of new things (probably including global data as well), but unfortunately many new features will be a paid option. I asked on their Discord if they are going to release the number of battles per month for every game mode, and I first got an answer from one of the StatShark devs that it will be added soon, and then another dev added that it is still not sure whether this specific option will be free or paid. We will see.

Will the voting result be enabled in the new version?Or it’s just a psychological comfort to voters and won’t have any practical effect.

Navy arcade mode occupies more than 20% of my game time. If I can’t restore the original aiming mode, I think I have to give up the navy mode in wt.

That is not a stat they have access to from the way they currently pull data, so I wouldn’t hold your breath. They have battles per player, not the same thing.

So it won’t really be the total number of battles, but the number of players that joined battles. That’s even better for us.

If there will be a battle with e.g. 2 players and 30 AI bots, it will count +2 “battles” (as 2 players will get +1 battle in their profile). This will be actually a very good way to judge if the game mode is expanding or contracting (whether players play more or less).

Like I said, we will see. I just hope it will be a free stat, because it’s not hard to calculate this. But I have a feeling it will be a paid option (just like other global stats).

Same. Naval was the current majority of my play time on WT. I’m just… not playing anymore. Also, the next battlepass will be the first I don’t pay for or participate in. I’m questioning how much time I want to spend with WT anymore.

Same. I think I’ve played 4 matches since the patch. It’s unbearably boring and unintuitive. I’ve spent probably $5000+ over 12 years. Not a penny more until they revert the changes.

Basically Same. I’ve spent sums of money in amounts I don’t want to recount. …I’m super turned off right now. I’m contemplating how much I’m even going to engage with WT. Certainly not buying any naval units any longer.

It isn’t a Gaijin initiated poll where they have said they will adopt the majority result… so it’s comfort food for the poor oppressed masses.

And a bit of a laugh for those who just get on and play the game.

AI AAA got insanely accurate so you have very short life in planes now

Then maybe it’s time to say goodbye to WT. I don’t know when the game update became “Gaijin thinks you like it” instead of improving the player’s game experience. I don’t want to follow other people’s instructions like an NPC or a puppet, especially when I pay for it myself. This is also the reason why I object to the change of naval arcade mode in this version.
Gaijin made such a big change without investigating whether the players accepted it at all, and then forced all players to accept it as a fact. It simply applies the mobile mode, but Gaijin has not considered the device difference and player audience between PC and mobile.
