[POLL] OSA-AKM Fully automatic missile guidance

From what I can see it’s just an AK externally and is marked as such so…

AK and AKM have 0 external differences. The only visual difference is a button on the main console.
Indian AKM

If not the marking you would say its AK

So what is the difference between ak-m and akm?

AKM has 1RL24 IFF antenna, what Indians made with their Osa-AK I have no idea.

Do you have a video of the APU in operation? Ive looked everywhere and can’t find anything

Im basing things on this

That was just to show that it’s name AK-M, not AKM, AKM also has APU.

(^ this one is used on Osa)

Here it’s also AK-M

tysm, i just wanted a video of it in operation

All 9M33M2 missiles were upgraded to the 9M33M3 standard by the end of the 1980s at least for the Soviets, so it’s safe to assume that the DDR got the upgrade pressed into service for main frontline air defense. Yeah it’s pure speculation on my part, but I’d hate to see the OSA for DDR and India get nerfed already.

1-3km range difference wont matter, especially at such a low br

Some German army site state the full capability of the M3 in the West Germany OSA so who knows. I’m still hyped for it. I just hope it’s not nerfed or at least make it a researchable upgrade.

The APU is even modeled I think under power system in the back of the vehicle.
