And then we have the issue of helicopters and SPAA which makes its own ball of wax.
I don’t think the rolands should go down, they are very potent missiles that are held back by how bad SACLOS guidance is. If they got ACLOS they would be really really deadly
I’m hella anti cas but I’ll be honest, for players experience and maintaining a skill ceiling we need LESS fire and forget features in game, CAS included especially. I’d rather see both Aircraft and SPAA requiring more player input instead of clicking 2 buttons. I think it promotes better skill based gameplay and keeps the gameplay more engaging and interesting. Granted if the OSA for whatever reason is just getting hammered it’s a feature that can always be added later. But personally I’d rather see less minimal input systems in ground overall. More importantly the more bonus features a system like the OSA gets the higher in BR it goes and the gap filler no longer exists where it’s needed.
I dream about it! I still checked every day to see if they had introduced this regime. SNAILS, PLEASE!
Over 100 votes, almost 90% upvote rate… There’s hope
Why not,in real life the OSA had a TVM (Track-Via Mode),which means that,as long as the target is illuminated with a radar lock, the missile can fly autonomously because it receives the return signal of the aircraft.
This mode not only makes hitting a target easier, but it also means that bad weather doesn’t affect the lock ad much as normal,so it’s sort of like a photocontrast mode but for radar guider missiles
It guides either via commands from a ground station or corrective commands from the radar
Yep,in either cases the radar automatically gives the missile the data to correct the course with a uplink/downlink connection
New bug report. Apparently the Osa-AK should use the 9M33M-2E missile instead of the 9M33M3
So the British and German OSAs should get a new missile soon hopefully

What’s the differences with the 9M33M-2E?
Genuinely have no idea
Oh, it’s a missile with 2-9km engagement range.
Slight nerf to performance… I wonder if its G load was affected
Wouldn’t really be the end of the world though since it’d make it more unique because both britain and germany already have a 10.3 SPAA so it could even go down to 10.0 or even 9.7 if the missile performance is that bad
Only factor seems to be a slight nerf in range, but that’s all I’m seeing after a quick search.
Might drop down to 10.0, who knows
Possibly, but I don’t think it’s really warranted. Missile performance shouldn’t be effected aside a slight drop in range.
Yeah true
Well, India upgraded their to AKM standard, with exclusion of Soviet IFF, so it should keep the M3
As for the M2 performance, i guess i could ask this thing
