[Poll] "Keen Vision" perk is game breaking

Like server or network issues

Some, but more the LoD of the map, as well as the obstacles, as well as other players with radio skill and keen vision.

Maybe this should be the next addition to the replay, another layer of information akin to the radar info. It could be better for the community to understand how it goes.

I do think it is bugged currently though, such as the sounds not being there when they aren’t rendered, but also the general tests done by the content creator that brought this to light.

We now have a heap of people making out that they’re affected, where they may not actually be.

Here are another instances on a 150 crew.

When a vehicle that is sub 700m in front of you in LOS on ULTRA graphics does not render you know that either -

  1. It is a broken “feature”
    or
  2. The person that designed it has never looked at anything past 700m outdoors and should really go for a walk

When people start complaining about this happening on a level 145 crew with max stats it should be fixed.

It was a fine game mech back when WT graphics were 4pixes and Ivan’s potato was running the servers

I agree, lvl 150 aced crew, having the same issue, also it happens with sounds aswell, not only rendering

well playing the game for 10 years means that you most likely have maxed out crew skills, I´ve been playing the game since 2017 on and off but mostly off. And since I only played RBs and keen vision skill description sounded like AB thing I never even thought of putting skill points toward it. And yeah I never realised that disappearing sounds or whole tanks is quite litterally “Skill issue”. Always loved WT because I thought spotting a tanks was entirely upon the player and now I am finding out that that is not the case at all.

As far as I recall, RB spotting and AB spotting are technically the same.

I play more ground AB than ground RB and even in arcade I need to pixel hunt with binoculars sometimes because the name tags only appear a second or so AFTER the enemy tank actually pops in. This only applies when the tank is partially hidden behind clutter like terrain, rubble or buildings.

Another mechanic RB players overlook entirely that has a huge impact in the spotting system is the visibility stat %. Having a big visibility stat % is a huge nerf in arcade. In RB not so much but still has an impact.
