This thread is to discuss the idea of a potential Polish tech tree with an Eastern European sub tech tree coming to the game.
The general idea for this discussion post comes from one of the long-term leaks
The Polish tech tree with an Eastern European gives us a possible super nation made out of 7 nations which in it’s rights, can be considered quite over-kill, while some people will look at this and think its a great idea others will look into the concept and think the person behind this is a mad-man. This is what this discussion post is for, to discuss wether this concept is a good idea and wether it is a good idea to be added to the game.
Copy and paste final boss. People will argue that this won’t have much copy and paste and I think, considering how Gaijin is handling new nations in the game, a lot of cope to justify from $60 to $80 in more german and sovietic equipment with slightly difference from the original counterpart.
Hopefully I’m wrong, personally I don’t think it’s time for new nations until the issues with current ones is fixed, and hopefully Israel is some of these nations with issues to be fixed, I’m talking about the lack of content to justify a standalone nation in-game—Merkava, Magach and Sho’t pasted all over the tech tree with one or another equipped with Blazer ERA or not.
I feel like only Czech and Slovakia will actually give content to this concept of tech tree with actual new content, I’m afraid that the T-72M2E won’t be considered, at least not as tech tree vehicle, hopefully yes, being essentially the same T-72M2 Moderna, it will probably fall under the same situation as the Finnish KV-1B and Soviet KV-1E.
Yeah your wrong, we have plenty of unique vehicles already from Poland, Czechoslovakia adds even more, then Ukraine adds more, then Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia will add even more.
Would you reckon it would also encompass other nations like Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria and Georgia? ( Not sure if Moldova has anything to offer).
I guess it will also be less cramped since Romania has been confirmed to be an Italian subtree already.
As I said before, that’s a lot of cope for a tech tree that could and have high chances to have more copy and paste vehicles than unique ones, it doesn’t justify the extra money people would have to pump in just because of an tank in another flag and a different name, like what it would have? A T-72M1 with some extra tweaks or perhaps a Leopard 2A4 or Leopard 2A6 under a new designation with the same specifications found in the german tech tree? As far I’m concerned this isn’t unique and Gaijin is unlikely to take the long path of gathering unique vehicles for this tech tree.
The same guy that fills to the throat with rumours based on “I think this… I think that…” Poland could come to the game easily, after bigger issues with the current tech trees is solved, this mix up of Polish, with Czech, Slovakia, Serbia and everything else listed in that leak, I have my doubts:
North Korea to China seems to be a no-no, the United Korea tech tree has been commented officially in the last Community Update N°8:
Same applies to South Korea to United States. Iran, at least pre-Iranian revolution content may be cut to keep people away from complaining about some kind of special threatment and American technology being used by a “Russian ally” in the “Russian tech tree”. And Swiss, apparently is exclusively air vehicle tech tree. Swiss can offer some unique vehicles from mid-Cold War to late-Cold War, hopefully we see Pz. 60s and Leopard modifications with new cannons e.g., Pz. 87-140 and similars.

What I mean by all this is I’d prefer, if all the issues with the current existing tech trees is fixed, Poland as standalone, but taking one tech tree high good chances of having a lot of copy and pasted content and multiplying it by eight times, I’m a step behind, you may counterargument with more variety means less copy and pasted content but Gaijin being Gaijin I still have my doubts as if this is a good idea or just another USSR but not an actual USSR tech tree.
A proper suggestion for Poland is under way, will be honest I didn’t even vote for the one made by IN_SpeedwE_TRUST.
And no we don’t count these as unique. None of us operated the 2A6 (Eastern Europe and Poland)
Yeah I just mentioned him because he talked about Eastern Europe on the ending of the vid, while he also stated that Germany would be the best place for Poland to go into, honestly watching the video made me feel like I was losing brain cells
