Policing, Riot, and Anti-Terror Equipment

Good Question

This comes from a few areas

  1. Specialized equipment and subversions firearms (Policing, Anti-terror, Riot, and SWAT organizations tend to have preferences or equipment that focuses on extreme accuracy) There is also a lots of Police only weapons
  2. Police organizations differ around the world the three major examples being Russia, China, and USA as there organizations have military like organizations and equipment. But there equipment is not always used by there respected countries military.
  3. In enlisted WarThunder’s Sibling game there is a form of Class system SWAT units (names differ between countries) could be a unique middle to top tier unit that specializes in urban and interior warfare.
  4. Addition of Riot gas and other special non lethal weapons that can push you out of cover

Overall with infantry mode it opens the door to support equipment and vehicles that have no home in ground RB but would have a home in Infantry as a support vehicle or a special or unique guns like the New Nambu M60. Overall there are lots of law enforcement / anti-terror organizations with interesting unique equipment. You would not bring a Cadillac Gage Ranger to fight a T-80 but you can use it as a first spawn with your squad to capture a building without being lasered by a light MG.

Thanks though for the question.

Cool rifle USA police shotgun

Cool Video about robot shield thing from DOK-ING Ltd.

“AEROSPACE GRADE COMPONENTS”

I love how stupid corporate speak is, so pompous and self assured. Like, what, a car made with the kind of quality rockets need? What does that even mean.

This vehicle would be effective from the promo videos they bring it inside and use it like a push shield I could see WarThunder teams making good use of it.

I have to say I learned a lot of what people are looking forward to with this discussion with infantry mode

One of my most controversial Ideas on the forum

I still hope Gaijin accepts “internal security vehicles / guns” in infantry mode and other such security weapons like the New Nambu M60 gun.

Anyway the New Nambu M60 would be a nice side arm

Japan’s first police gun as even before WW2 all they had was a sword and sometimes a random military gun when it was needed. Also one of the few post war domestic Guns. And hay you can role play a Japanese detective wondering around hunting yokai as this gun is sort of a film star being in almost every Japanese police drama. So strong enough to do the job in WarThunder but just so.

Would be great for a Troubles-period Belfast map

Would be a unique set of equipment.

Not all Nations Had SWAT units but similar enough anti-terror for example Soviet / Russia security services Spetsnaz units with there much beloved Titanium Altyn (helmet) FYI Cuba got a few of them. Russia has a whole lore of Anti-Terror Helmets with massive amount of story behind them with many prototypes as well. Army does not use them but people love the look of there equipment and they pop up in other video games so my not in WarThunder?

There is also the beloved PSH-77 made by the Swiss. Switzerland loves selling “police” equipment as it does get around a lot of laws.

Some of these could be added without much discussion of a internal security line as surplus can get into the military as they can be requested and is usually better in some instances. Also USA did give a lot of police surplus to the Ukraine (funny what USA Police get sometimes like MRAPS they cannot maintain). But still would provide a different play style with a SWAT unit being more specialized in indoor fighting.

Though I can see why this idea is controversial but there are police only guns made by companies and organizations while the military gets other stuff. Police Shot gun going to hit like truck.

I like the idea of Counter-terror and riot gear [Even stuff like EOD would be great to see here.] but not necessarily police or anything to do with typical police gear.

It is called Infantry after all.

Although I can’t say I wouldn’t mind seeing a bearcat in-game lol.

An idea for something closer to police that would actually fit well in-game is a PMC/MERC, but I highly doubt anything similar to an irl PMC “Faction” would ever actually be added.

fair enough!

I more or les hope Gaijin goes with a arsenal system so equipment like this could be fit in. With Humvees being in the testing mode (For Russia and USA) Vehicles like the Bearcat can work its just a jacked van with some armour with the ability on some to mount a MG.

The whole concept is so we can open up the door to more equipment even if its strange or a one off. The two parts that this line idea has is push shields (most militaries seem to not use them that much) but they would be a simple place and push concept would be a pain to handle indoors a RPG though wont care but then again why are you shooting a RPG inside?

The Rook is the one thing I got a post written about waiting for the day we can pass suggestions. Perfect APC that can get you up to 3 stories high.

And the New Nambu M60 because why not?

The Man Himself has blessed infantry part of the Forum! Bet you have hundreds of Polish Guns waiting to see the light of day when the infantry part opens up!

Trust me I get it man, but things like shields and similar would be hated once this part of the game gets to being a full-fledged thing.

You’d constantly see posts of people bitching about shield users, shields good this shields bad that, unfair armor block vs a counter to cheaters, why are there police shields swat gadgets and tasers in the game, fix police tear gas spam, this is supposed to be War thunder Not Cop Thunder! Etc.

I’d like to have all the gear; hell, I’d love it.

[Especially stuff to do with old school KJB FSB SAS SWAT FBI-HRT GIGN]

But maybe in a different game, with a different community lololol.

Let’s be real it doesn’t matter how much guys like us would want stuff like this. If it were added the average WT player would seethe at it all.

[Even if it were a separate game-mode entirely, most would call for its removal. If only Gaijin would make an entire other game about cop-on-cop battles… Lol]

Or the other way around for stuff like the whole PMC/MERC thing I mentioned. I guarantee most of the player base would love that, but Gaijin would never ever put in an Irl PMC [Cause global politics]

The first ones they’d add would be Wagner and Blackwater, then the game would get delisted almost everywhere in Europe and Gaijin would be called Bigots, NZ’s, Supporters of terrorism and war crimes etc.

Unfortunately, a-lot of the same goes for adding police [Not just their gear] to the game, but semantics.

Anyway, I don’t wanna get your hopes down too much for seeing some stuff like this in-game. But in the future for community poles and a general welcoming nature to the topic, id more-so focus on
Counter-Terror, MOPP, EOD, and maybe military peace keeping anti-riot/anti-insurgency gear.

[Peace keeping NOT meaning the UN PK’s lol]

thanks

I got some equipment and solutions I will sit on them until we get the ability to write suggestions.

Hopfully we see the new Nambu pistol as Nambu weapons are just interesting. (Also a little more safe after WW2)

Can’t say I disagree with seeing a new plethora of ill-seen weapons lol.

I would like for Infantry to eventually have a more accurate and more plentiful representation of weapons than even world of guns has… We can only hope Gaijin takes it even close to that seriously.

Ya I know I was the one who made the chem weapon discussion (thank god for international arms control for all the available reading material but that is less controversial then this) Infantry opens a lot of discussion and opportunities for additions this is the likely reason for WarThunder going into infantry is just the general increase in stuff they can add.

But thanks

Glory to PSH-77 titanium helmet bane of hand guns!
