TL;DR: A quick 8x8 Chinese armored car fitted with a 122mm howitzer.

History:

Accepted into service sometime between 2009 and 2014, the PLL-09 is a mobile artillery system used by both the Chinese Army and Marines in large numbers. Though primarily designed to engage indirectly, the 122mm PL-96 howitzer the vehicle is equipped with is fully stabilized if the need to engage directly arised. The chassis of the vehicle is that of the ZBL-09 and, as such, is fully amphibious, allowing the vehicle to take offensive roles in amphibious assaults. The PLL-09 is also highly mobile, boasting great cross-country capabilities, allowing it to easily keep up with MBTs. The weapon on the vehicle is the PL-96 122mm howitzer, a Chinese copy of the Soviet D-30, attached to a semi-automatic loading mechanism and guided by a computerized fire-control-system and digital ballistic computer. This weapon was designed to accept not only Chinese ammunition, but all standard Russian 122mm ammunition as well. Being an SPH, the PLL-09 is not equipped with a coaxial armament, however, an optional roof-mounted 12.7mm machine gun is available.

Place In War Thunder:

The PLL-09 has over 500 examples in service with the Chinese military today and with the discovery of the ZTL-11 (uses the same hull) in the files, I think itโ€™s safe to say that this vehicle is bound to come eventually. A fully-stabilized 122mm howitzer mounted on an incredibly mobile chassis sounds very appealing and can be very deadly in the right hands. The playstyle offered would be different when compared to other wheeled vehicles for a few reasons. First, the main anti-tank round of the PLL-09 would be HEATFS as opposed to APFSDS, though HE-donking could also be effective due to overpressure. This would make the vehicle unsuited to areas with heavy foliage or debris. Second, the PLL-09 houses a 122mm. Semi-automatic loader or not, this vehicle is unlikely to have a competitive reload. Shots would have to be taken with more care as out-reloading an opponent might not be an option. Third, the PLL-09 is amphibious. While not very mobile in the water, the option to lob a 122mm shell from a river into the side of an unsuspecting enemy is not something that can be found anywhere in-game currently.
